Works great, reliable and easy
Have had these for a week now and it’s been doing great. Battery life is still at 100% and it has consistently reported data. Set up was extremely easy if you use home assistant, it auto discovered when I inserted the batteries. At 1/4 the price of other brands, this is an incredible value.

When you don't have internet on location.
We run a small non profit food bank. Cannot afford to add internet to our little building. These units were just the thing to keep track of our 9 refrigerators and freezers. Have been using them for over two years now and they work great.

Terrible range, bluetooth connectivity is intermittent
Easy to set up? Yes. Useful? NO. This sensor will connect to your phone through the app. Setup goes nice and easy, but that's where the good stops. This device seems to only stay connected to your phone through the app IF the app is open AND you're within about 8-feet line of sight to the sensor. I wanted to use this to monitor the temperature of my freezer. However, as soon as the door of the freezer is closed, I cannot connect, even standing right in front of it. I figured this may the construction of the freezer, so I put some other bluetooth devices inside, and those communicate just fine. So, I put the sensor on my deck outside to figure out it's range, and slowly backed up and walked forward to figure out it's range. It's unobstructed range is absolutely no more than 8-feet. This device is virtually useless for my needs.

Great for temp data logging
I got this as a way to gather temp data over time, for testing an old mini fridge. I am converting it to use as a fermentation chamber, being controlled with another Inkbird product, the ITC-308, and wanted to see how well it was controlling the temp. The other Inkbird does report temp, but at 15min intervals, which wasn't so good to see fast changes. This one works well for keeping close track of temperature. I like the feature of changing the sampling time, though the temperature time constant is probably larger than the >1minute time. It will store 3-4 days at 1 min sample rate. Good things about it: Like the small size, easy to place. The magnet also, can help with mounting it. I like the ability to export out data to csv files, for graphing in Excel. Setting up in the app was fairly easy, and it's easy to set alarms. Accuracy was pretty good, within about 1 deg from my "dependable" thermometer. Things I didn't like: No way to adjust or calibrate the temp. (that I found) It's pretty good, but if you're really a fanatic for accuracy it would be nice to get it spot on with a reference. Range was somewhat limited, when inside a fridge or freezer. Somewhat to be expected for radio inside of a metal box, and Bluetooth is a low power radio. The app needed a good signal to download history. Interestingly, just the current thermometer reading in the app seemed to update from farther away than the range you had to be in for a graph download. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't an audible alarm in the box itself. Only the app will give you an alarm. I don't know why I expected this, was thinking it would be a good backup for temp failure in a fridge or freezer, maybe I was thinking of the ITC-308 controller, which does have it's own self contained alarm beeper. App is a bit fiddly in some areas. Was not able to find this device in the "Inkbird" app that I use the ITC-308 with, even though it looked like it should see Bluetooth devices. Overall, very useful for checking temp over time. Measure a room to see the high and low temp, and how much time it spends inbetween? Check your fridge and freezer to see how much the temp swings and how often? You now can easily do these things. I found out that our home fridge/freezer swings as much as 4-8 degrees (!) over it's on off cycles, while my mother-in-law's one barely moves 2 degrees.

A great themometer at a great price.
I really like this freezer thermometer. In the past I've used wired thermometers and the wire would screw up the gasket. I've also used a thermometer inside the freezer, but I had to open the door whenever I wanted to check the temp. Wireless is the way to go. The unit itself is easy to set up. Just put in the batteries (it even comes with a small screwdriver for the battery compartment) and start the app. The app is easy to set up, sync, and to read. There's even a feature to calibrate the temp reading, but I didn't need it because it was accurate out of the box. All in all, this is a great unit at a great price.

Better Than Expected
Every RVer should have this Thermometer. I am so paranoid that the food in our RV fridge will get warm and spoil on our trips. This gives me the piece of mind knowing I can check the temp at any time. There is even a setting to notify you if it goes below a set temp.

Not for chest freezers
The Bluetooth range is not as long as I had hoped. About 50 feet of the line of sight and 20 feet or less if an inside wall is in the way. It does not like to automatically reconnect and send data to the phone after it has been out of range. It seems that you must sometimes stop and restart the app to get it to reconnect and even if reconnects with the app running you must open and close the specific device to get it to upload data to the phone. I would say well if communicating with a fixed device that stays always within range and if you are checking your data frequently by opening the device file. Otherwise sort of a PITA. The individual devices do have several days of internal storage, but sometimes it is necessary to open and close the device even while staying in range in order to get all of the data if you have not uploaded it in a few days.

Mmmmm. Not sure about this
Great product, works great at home. Not so good away. It reads offline until I am close to the device. The set I have works great and is pretty accurate. Is there a way to make it stay connected with other compatible inkbird devices?

Good sensor

Enables internal freezer or fridge temperature measurements through closed door and keeps record of temperature over time. Served my purpose well to ensure stored food, especially meats was stored safely and correctly. I could not connect using iOS devices, it only worked with android.
