Great upgrade from the 28 series
Great upgrade from the 28** series of devices. Much more bandwith capability and processing speed. As always with Draytek products, no issues once configured correctly. Regular firmware updates.

Simple to get running for Multi WAN work
I added a second route to the internet and didn't want to have to continue to switch networks all the time, this device manages it all for me almost right out of the box.It also handles DHCP, DNS, firewall and VPN for my home network and none of my family has moaned once that the internet is down since I installed and configured it.Suspect that it is way more powerful than I actually need for a simple home load balancing job but is has given me all sorts of additional features that I never knew I needed...

Great Firewall Router
Solid kit. Good firewall implementation and configuration. 2.5Gbps WAN means futureproofing as broadband speeds increase. Nice feature of setting vlan tags on ports so you can separate networks.

Very Nice Router
If you've worked with Draytek products before and are maybe moving up from a smaller model, I think you'll like the 2962. The GUI is familiar and I'm *very impressed* by its speed when administering the device.Build quality is very good, which is to be expected from Draytek. Very happy here.

No 2.5gb lan ports..
I have rewritten this review to be more fair. The routers interface and functionality is adequate if you just want internet access and a little added functionality. It lacks the functionality you can get with pfsense and a little understanding and patience. However my principal gripe is we are now in a world of mult gigabit internet and ethernet lans. Gigabit local ports no longer cut it. And in small networks, the benefits for a 2.5gbp wan port and no 2.5gbps lan ports, makes it almost pointless. It seems tight to limit the lan ports to 1gbps.
User
Flexibility
I needed to get the WAN port SFP as a LAN port. No need to pay Cisco ยฃยฃยฃ to get that done, just select port config in the menu. Go Draytek.
