Works great right out of the package on my Samsung crystal smart tv. Just added batteries and hit the power button and it was ready to go. Didn’t have to do anything else to use it, was so happy. And the price was great. Buttons all work great, old controller buttons were not working on a cheaper replacement that had for few frustrating months. I thought it was my internet that was the issue but during prime sales ordered this new remote and wish had bought it months ago. Will never buy a generic remote again.

I bought this remote to replace one from an older smart TV. I received it the next day and it works perfectly. I have ROKU so I only needed a functioning remote so i can change the TV sources plus just basic remote funtioning. The price was very economical and it does exactly what was advertised. I highly recommend.

Recently had someone trying to force connect via bluetooph and was able to decline the connection but could not completely disable bluetooth, so I kept getting popups disrupting our viewing. After searching I learned my factory remote was incapable of accessing the full menu. The rabbit hole appeared. Read reviews and this remote only needs batteries. No fuss, no muss, it works as soon as you put your own batteries in it, and it works perfectly. Was able to get into the hidden menu and disable bt, now no more annoying neighbor trying to view my screen (which imo this should be addressed in the basic menu). My q55 came with a simple remote, vol+-, channel +-, power, menu, return, voice, a play/pause combo...hence it's the most minimalistic version. So I could not get into the hidden menu. (to access hidden menu: while off = Mute, 1, 8, 2, Power... it powers up and in a few seconds a blueish menu)...be careful. take pics of all your settings prior to changing any and powering off b/c once you change anything the only option is to power off and on which saves them. Oddly, now my old remote only functions to power on/off.. guessing the tv only allows one remote at a time? quite pleased with this new remote and would recommend for anyone who wants to access the samsungs secret menu to gain the full ability of the display. This remote works, no need to long press buttons, it's smooth as it should be. Excellent shipper too. I've included a few menus and it's not all of them either. Been happy with this display and this function makes it even better. If you want to disable all network and bluetooth connectivity, this is the easiest way and only took me a few minutes.

UPDATE: After using this daily for a shirt time, I've noticed that the keys are extremely stiff, unles thise I've had in the past. Maybe it's just the one I eceived. Works great once you insert batteries. Should have purchased the 3 pack. Be sure, unlike me, to ensure you have batteries on hand or purchased have at the same time.
