Apple MacBook Pro 13.3" with Retina Display, M1 Chip with 8-Core CPU and 8-Core GPU, 16GB Memory, 256GB SSD, Space Gray, Late 2020

I'll say this for the machine: It's FAST!!!! No problem processing, that's for sure. However, the cons are a-pleanty IMO. 1) Whoever thought the huge track pad was a good idea should be fired. It's so big one can't help but inadvertantly touch it while typing and then your cursor is in the wrong place and you're typing away in the wrong place. Setting it to the "firm" setting doesn't help. 2) Function keys have been replaced by a touch bar. PC ads have made fun of this feature and I can see why. I've gotten used to it, but still havent' figured out how to dim the backlit keys. I've looked it up, but it's not intuitive. 3) It's Mac O.S. so it doesn't play well with others. 4) Apple's done away with the magnetic power hookup. It was such a good idea, MS stole it and put it on the Surface Pro! I grabbed the laptop forgetting I had it plugged into power and ripped the cord right out of it. Thankfully I had a good grip on the computer so didn't drop it (this time). 5) The keyboard is not near as nice as my old Mac Book. 6) Only two ports and one's for power leaving a mear one port and it's the newer type so you're faced with buying more add-ons to accommodate your older stuff.Bottom line, the only reason I bought it was to run the newer programs, but other than that, I'm not impressed at all.

I had a 2016 MBP and noticed that when editing 4k video it was almost impossible. I am not an editing pro but its been a hobby for 18 years. I was very hopeful that upgrading to the new M1 chip would help that. my old computer was only an 8Gig so I upgraded to a 16Gig. even though Adobe PP does not support the M1 chip yet. it still was lightning fast. rendering video that used to take 4 hours now take on average 20 min. Now when I think about doing a video project I get excited and not discouraged. If you are looking for an upgrade. you will not be disappointed.

After using the MacBook for 2 hours... 93% of battery charge remained. The processor is FAST. I chose this to replace a MacBook that was 9 years old (and still works). Shipment was quick and the price couldn't be beat (I checked!). Photo shows a colorization program I use. Once you use a Mac you will never go back.

Apple surprisingly has stepped up their game in regards to this M1 chip. You might even get away with purchasing a 8 GB of RAM version, as the chip might be able to compensate for it.

Excelente equipo, el nuevo Chip M1 es realmente ultra rápido, sobretodo con aplicaciones que ya están ejecutándose nativamente para el nuevo procesador. Para uso moderado ni siquiera se calienta y es sumamente eficiente.Recomiendo 16GB de ram para las personas que se dediquen a edición de fotos, videos o audio.

M1 is very fast and silent. Using it with docker and multiple IDEs, don’t hear any voice from cooling.It gets little hot when I used XCode but don’t sure it’s related to XCode. Because device was charging while it got little hot.
