Admittedly, phone camera photography is not my strongest suit.This review is for the Nightforce 43 mm eyepiece lens cap that piggybacks on my review of the Nightforce 56mm objective lens cap for the same scope.Received scope the other day, sharpened the reticle clarity with the ocular adjustment and secured that in place with the locking ring. Installed eyepiece cap and indexed it to my liking and discovered that when using the zoom feature on the scope, the entire ocular ring and barrel will turn with the zoom. Worried that I messed up, a call to Nightforce revealed that the entire unit will rotate when zooming in/out on magnification. The reason is simple: In order to meet the gov't requirements of waterproofing the scope for military use, Nightforce designed the scopes to do that in order to maintain watertight integrity. Apparently it was impossible to jam more sealant O-rings into such a small area and still keep water out.A unique feature of the eyepiece cap is that it will ratchet in either direction, independent of the fixed part that is secured with a T-15 Torx driver. This will keep the cap out of the way of bolt levers and other gear if a change in magnification is required.For the scope in question, it is a 180° sweep from 32 power to 8 power. I like the open cap on the right side of the scope at the 3 o'clock position at 32 power. To dial down to 8 power, the open cap will arc over the top of the scope and come to rest at 9 o'clock and it does not require re-ratcheting once the base part is secured with the T-15 driver. Easier than I thought.Former Leupold scope user and learning the Nightforce particulars.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is it's price. Fit and finish was perfect, but it's a nightforce....LOL

Finally NF has a lens cover that works with their rotating eyepiece.Easy to install.Heavy duty.A bit pricey, but ork as advertised.
