I have order several and they are not well constructed but I have to have them to put color on my hair (sectioning off the back). the wings that hold the mirror are too flexible and after a bit of use the mirror drops out and breaks. I have used this type of mirror for more than 30 years and these are the worst!!! But it is the only kind I can find at this time and I must continue to buy them. I would hope the manufacturer could strengthen the base that holds the mirror so it doe snot fall out and break....this has happened three times with me....not just once but three!!!

This was a purchase for my Mom who loves and uses this style of mirror all the time. Her old trusted one broke and she needed a replacement. They are not easy to find in stores, so I got this one for her. When it arrived and she took it out of the box, the rotating mirror had already fallen out of the little holder. This was certainly not because of the way the mirror was packed, Amazon had it packed really tightly and well. It was just the plastic of the holder had spread and the mirror slipped out. I put it back in place for her, but it was really unusable because once she was wearing it, you could never tighten it enough to hold the mirror in place - it would just slowly spin out of position. It wasn't really a defect per se, just a really cheaply made mirror. I ended up returning it for her.

Three stars for the seller. Very friendly, good communication and quick shipping.. But, ZERO stars for this product. I really should have paid better attention to those who gave low star reviews, because they really are true. This item should be sold very cheap at a flea market. What a poor imitation of what was once a really good product spanning several decades has become what you'd find in any common junk catalog arriving unsolicited in your post box. Horrible! This decline in quality is so typical of junk sold at highly inflated prices these days. The actual mirror, the reflective part, can be moved around with your finger in its frame. That frame, which has two little points to be inserted into the outer frame do not fit properly to hold the mirror in. If you push it into the holes, the mirror with frame will fall right out. Considering the ultra poor quality, the whole thing would break into pieces if it hit the floor. Everything others have said about the screw is absolutely right. It will not hold up to more than being adjusted a few times before the holes in this cheap plastic will wear out. Well, I won't bother myself packaging and returning this loser. So, please everyone, take heed of yet another warning regarding this totally useless piece. :((

Good small hands free mirror for use and to take with you for travel. Wished it shipped via other than USPS that took a week to get even for Amazon prime member so took off 1 star. But no frills and functional and Priced well costing less than a good hamburger!

I like to cut my own hair. But it is difficult, to hold a mirror, hold the hair I want to cut, put a regular mirror down, frustrating. This over the neck Mirror, makes it very easy to see what I am Doing! Had one yrs ago It broke, could not find one like it, until I found it on Amazon!! Happy Days

I guess for what I paid for it this thing isn't as bad as it could be, but this is not at all what I thought it was going to be ... I was wanting a neck mirror with which I could fix my hair hands-free and this is not at all what this is .... This is a neck mirror (in my opinion, anyway) to do makeup up-close and hands-free. The actual mirror part is very small, so small you can't really see past your face in the mirror to be able to see your hair behind you; so it is almost impossible to fix your hair using it. It's kind of flimsy as it hangs on your neck and you have to tighten it in place alot, and even then it still won't stay very well. I would suggest this for someone who wants a mirror to apply makeup hands-free, but not for anything else...

piece of junk, broke from the frame on the 4th use. hope the 7 years' bad luck is the manufacturer's and not mine.

We get ready informally in our offices for social media videos, and I remembered in the 80's, my mother had a device almost identical for hands free makeup application. The handle was longer, and the mirror was slightly bigger, so it was a farther from your face and you could see a bit more. However, I was thrilled when I discovered the tool still exists, even if the dimensions appear to be engineered for eye makeup, face and not styling bangs or the front sides of your hair. Still super cool and my coworkers were happily amused when I brought it in for them to prepare themselves a lot easier. It also allows you to stand in any light you want without having to hold a mirror.
