Great item, so much fun! Educational, informative and interactive. Great value for your money

I bought this for my niece's 9th birthday. She was stoked to receive it! She was even more excited to do the digging. We worked on it for about 3 hours. The wooden tools provided quickly became dull. All of the items were clustered in the center of the pyramid. We had to break out a metal chisel and a real hammer to remove the excess material from the corners. Then she was able to use the provided tools to chip away the smaller bits and wiggle the treasures out. Small pieces broke off of 2 of the items but we explained that this happens in archeology and glued them back together. The whole process was quite messy but it's now a treasured memory. I would highly recommend this for any aspiring archeologists.

It's a really cool and fun gift but they tools they give you aren't strong enough. It's literally a stone pyramid that you have to break to get the artifacts. Definitely do it outside as it's very dusty.

Nice made looked really cool easy to do with kids worth the money

I purchased this for my 13 year-old as we are studying ancient Egypt in history class. It was a fun end of unit activity. He was excited to do it. However, we quickly realized that the wooden hammer that was provided was more like a cheap toy and wouldn’t stay together and wasn’t nearly sturdy enough to do the job. Then the next problem we ran into was several of the pieces came out broken. This is surely due to the fact that we had to use sturdier tools to excavate. But overall, it was a good size and kept him busy for an hour.

Very cool!! My son and I had a blast excavating this pyramid. The items were quality as well.

Kids loves chipping away at it and going through all of the artifacts that they uncovered!

I bought this just because i love archeology and ancient Egypt and for the little collectible you get. It comes very nicely packaged with a booklet of what you are getting. The dig is quite time consuming i will say because it’s quite hard so you may need to soften it in water (which i did by the end because my hands were hurting) but it’s fun overall. Some of the paint on the collectibles chipped off so be careful while running them under water. One of them broke when i was trying to dig it out. I even got two amethysts instead of just one.

this was so much fun ! we were amazed by all the relics we discovered. very beautiful artifacts! we were amazed. I love this product a lot. we also learnt a lot about Egypt, the hand book is very cool.
