Great Product
I am a ASE certified mechanic and Wyo Tech grad. I worked on my friends and family car on the side. (most of the time for free) I used this on my 2006 Chevy Silverado that just recently had a check engine light code. I have tested it on 2004 Volvo V70, 2007 Ford F150, 2015 Subaru Outback and 2010 VW Jetta. It was really easy to use.I use it off my Iphone 6. I downloaded OBDCarDoctor from the apple store. Plug in the Foseal Scan Tool. Turn the ignition on (doesn't need to the running). Went to setting on Iphone, then hit Wi-Fi. Found Foseal came up as a Wifi network and link on. Opened OBDCarDoctor App and connected right away. Found my code and a brief description about the code. Trouble shoot the issue, Cleared the code. Very happy with the results of this product. Came with instruction of 3 possible apps that will work for your android or iphone/ipad. BTW "DashCommand" for 10 bucks is a very powerful, award winning program. The other free apps are great for reading engine codes/clearing and on time engine rpm, temp, oil pressure, etc...I did end up buying the DashCommand App. Well worth it to me. The apps update as the years go by for freeI like these types of scanners better than the handheld ones. Once you buy a handheld scanner (for more money) you get the lasted of updates but then as the year or years roll by its out of date. If I work on a friends brand new 2017 car, I would need to buy a new handheld scanner or pay more money for a update again.

Great Device, Great investment
Amazing little device; love the Wi-Fi integration. Long story, Short.... Engine light on, bought device and software, hooked up device, read codes (miss-fire detected), cleared codes, now back to normal. Light has not reappeared (two weeks now).Long Story: Had an Engine Light appear on a 19 year old Yukon, (230,000 miles and still passes CA smog) but didn't want to pay the $70+ to get it diagnosed assuming a BIG bill to fix a problem due to the high mileage - old age. So bought this device based on reviews, skipped the free software and went straight to the optional software (in this case DashCommand $20, again based on reviews). Plugged the device in and proceeded. Had a few fault starts due to not-so-intuitive procedures to make the software work (software problem not a device problem; e.g., software can only read VIN with key on but car not started). Ran engine then diagnostics. There was an existing code for miss fire of one cylinder (or cylinder bank?). I cleared the code and it didn't reappear. I've been driving the car for about 2 weeks now (maybe 50 miles) and the code has not reappeared. Looking back to when the code appeared, it was on a long steep grade at 70+ mph (full power, maximum fuel delivery) just after refueling... guessing it was transient thing like water, partially clogged injector, a weak fuel pump, or ??? but bottom line, it is working fine for now and I didn't have to fix anything... maybe I can get another 2 years (i.e., pass CA smog)...(.just have to keep the pedal off the floor :-)And I now have a device on hand for the next time.... Great investment!PS: Also bought the "OBD Fusion" software but found it less intuitive, at least to the point that I went back to the "DashCommand" and didn't use the OBD Fusion anymore...not a fair comparison, but just my experience..

still can't give 5 stars but, it is better than I first posted
it's ok but you have to buy a different upgrade for each vehicle you use it on.I have 3 vehicles so that's 30 dollars to check them all.I had trouble getting even the free version to download on my phone and then I had more problems getting the upgrade .Once I got the free app it connected up nicely but you need to switch back and forth from internet wifi to the obd wifi ( on my Tab 3 )Overall my experience was very frustrating. I liked the look of the dashboard and the info it gave was accurate.I will be returning this and pay a few dollars more for one I can use on all my vehicles.UDATE 7/16/17After further testing and playing around with this I found that I can use it on all my vehicles. The extra charge apps are for vehicle specific codes and it tells you what the fault is you just have to google the specific fix,I have used it on a GMC truck and a Ford E450 class C motor home..I still have some issues with the wifi. disconnecting after 5 or ten minutes and having to reconnect.I will be going on a long trip next month and want to use it to track mileage , temp etc. I will update again after the tripI give the company 5 stars for customer service and reaching out to me to try and rectify my issues. They contacted me twice to offer a refund for the app that didn't download.overall 3.5 starsUDATE 8/31/17I have been using it on a trip from Alaska to the east coast. I covered over 5000 miles nd the unit has performed very welldepending on what set of dash boards I use I can track gall per hr miles per gallon cost and many other variables. It even saved me from a ticket in a speed trap ( my speedometer was off by 5 mph).It has been very accurate and except for a couple times having trouble staying connected overall it performed as expected. The only thing I don't like is that it is wifi rather than blue tooth, not the vendors problem but when I go for a new one I will go for blue tooth.Still 5 stars for company service but I have to take a star off for the sometimes sporadic wifi connection.I would recommend this vendor and will not hesitate to purchase from them in the future.
