It's a shame this phone didn't get more traction, it is awesome.
It may not be the newest Android, but the hardware makes up for it. BlackBerry has abandoned this phone, it's 2 years old now after-all. It wont be getting any new Android version but it has some awesome perks that make up for it. - The camera doesn't do well in low light (Very noisy images), but it does amazing is bright light. Great for daytime photos/videos. It takes very high resolution images (4K photo/video), and is packet with awesome (manual) camera code features. (Like ISO) You can get some nice shots with this thing. Saying that, the "slow motion" feature on the camera is super low resolution and doesn't produce very good video. - The screen's curve might be seen as a gimmick, but it looks and feels nice. The screen is also super crisp high resolution with wide viewing angle. - Notification LED always gets your attention and is colored so you can know which app produced the notification. - Speaker captures phone call audio well and is passable for sharing music out loud. (Unlike most phones where no one can hear it because the speaker is so small) As a matter of fact, I used the phones speaker in my car for podcasts/music before I bought a bluetooth stereo, and it held up despite even loud road noise. - The back of the phone has a nice holographic rubbery texture, looks almost like carbon fiber. The rest of the phone is solid and metal, doesn't feel flimsy despite the fact that the whole phone can slide to reveal the keyboard. The screen is also tough and scratch resistant. - Sliding mechanism feels good even after heavy use, you will notice the slide sounding a bit more sanding and less smooth after a few weeks of pocket carrying, but it doesn't prevent it from actually sliding smooth. It holds up. - Despite the physical keyboards small size, it is amazing. The buttons are tactile and feel good to press, has a nice click, and the back light does it job very well. You can also use the keyboard to scroll and do typing gestures (it is touch sensitive), which work pretty decently. Overall, it is a great phone. I wish the market would suppose phones like these.

I like it - Keyboard and all
I can't really give a proper full in-depth review at this point in time as I've only had this phone for less than a month, but from the experience that I have had with it so far I can safely say that my initial impressions about this phone are fairly good - pretty much all the frustrations that I've mostly had with it turn out to be just me learning all the quick little shortcuts (which are fairly easy to learn, especially thanks to BlackBerry Help), and with each little shortcut learned, using this phone just keeps getting better and better. I will say that my one gripe with this phone oddly enough happens to be the battery life - thanks to the tools BlackBerry provides on this phone I've found out that the battery drain mostly comes from the screen, but I've also noticed it when I'm either downloading multiple updates (by multiple I mean about 8-10+) or when I'm using the navigation app from Google; if I'm not doing that then the battery last the whole day with some energy to spare - when I am doing this the battery doesn't last at all - the worst was when I recently took a 2+ hr trip up the NW coast; the battery started at 84% and at about 90 minutes into the trip my phone was telling me I had less than 20% - Not cool, Google Nav. Other than that, the phone is definitely worth the price.

Good phone. Less features for the price.
Very sturdy phone. Camera is amazing. Speakers are also good. Display is truly bright and colourful. The shortcuts available when you swipe down the screen, is now enough. Emails fail to download when i dont connect to WiFi or data for few hours but only download that arrive after I reconnect. I was using LetV1S before. The charging was faster. Overall good phone

Excellent device. I am using it for a few days and I find this device flawless so far. I have always been a BBs fan but due to unavailability of smart phones from BlackBerry I was forced to use other handsets. Now im so happy to be a BlackBerry user again. BTW, im using it on T-Mobile network and its working absolutely fine. LTE, VoLTE all good..

If you like to be spammed by your own phone go for it
Skip this one. Very buggy still after a year of patching. Device keeps giving pop ups like it knows best. Keeps asking to connect to their BBM message app after repeatedly saying no I don't want your junk. I had to install it just to shut it up. Pop up asking to connect to WiFi even when shut off. Many of these issues that just makes the whole experience frustrating. All of this is just indicative of the attitude BlackBerry has of them assuming they know what's best for u and thinking they are too smart to be ignored. Horrible attention to program design. I mean how can u screw up an android os? Well BlackBerry managed to somehow. If this was my first Android device used, I'd think Google was to blame but thank God I had a Samsung Galaxy to know android os is actually real easy to use and is not like an annoying salesman that won't go away. I'm not gonna waste anymore time with this device including writing this review. Returned. Refunded

On the fence
Reviewing both the product and supplier... Supplier: Phone was delivered in a timely and professional manner. The box was unopened and the packaging in perfect order. Clearly brand new from the factory. The major downside was that the phone was 100% NOT UNLOCKED. I ordered this to a family members place in the states, flew in and picked it up to bring back to my home in Central America. I was pretty angry at the time that it wasn't what I had paid for. Fortunately I was able to find an online company to unlock for another $30. I still feel this company owes me $30, but I didn't have time to pursue it. Product: I like Blackberry for one reason and one reason only (I gotta think just like everyone else), to have buttons to push when I am having to respond to business e-mails and social media. I can't stand on screen typing for the life of me. For this reason I will buy blackberry products until they stop being sold, or another phone supplier wises up and starts making keyboards. The addition of android is a God send for a product that is almost extinct. Smart move...I applaud you. That said, there are so many things about this phone I am less than impressed with, such as: 1. As said by other reviewers, the battery life is a complete joke. Even though no android has a great batery life, this battery is almost useless. It many times doesn't even last a full day for me 2. I can't seem to get speel check to work in two languages. 3. Recently I am constantly getting messages saying my blackberry software is failing 4. Phone contacts seem to keep mysteriously disapppearing from my contact book 5. My calendar doesn't seem to alert me with any sounds or pop up notifications making it alnost useless 6. The phone can get really hot for unknown reasons. Sometimes to the point you can almost not touch it. Pros...keyboard. Android, smart notification customization, outstanding camera, it's Canadian ;)

Unit Overheats/Shuts Down
Purchased one PRIV for myself previously praying no issues as many have quoted. Am in Iraq and is the only means for communication. Has been fantastic. However this recent purchase of another PRIV is a flop. Unit heats up, overheat warning is received and unit shuts down. Wife did not turn on all night. In am, turned on, alert immediately received. Requesting a replacement immediately now..
