FrogTape Multi-Surface Painter's Tape with PAINTBLOCK, 1.41 in x 60 Yds

Green Frog Tape does exactly what its manufacturer claims and what that blue 3M tape always failed to do. It produces absolutely clean paint lines, whether it’s used with latex or oil based paint, because the paint doesn’t stick to the edge of the tape. It is truly a miracle product and is absolutely worth every bit of 5 Stars.

FrogTape is the best painting tape! It creates a wonderful seal and the paint never bleeds or runs under the tape. Sharp lines are possible using this tape. It comes in different widths, and I purchased both widths to use on a variety of painting jobs. I recently used it for taping under the baseboard to protect the floor from paint when painting recently installed baseboards. As expected, it did fantastic. Cleanup was a breeze and it was easy to remove.

This Frog masking tape is excellent for my whole house Behr Ultra painting project. I initially was using Scotch blue tape, but sometimes the tape was not sticky for molding edge or creating a straight line for two different colors. when I chatted with AI, it told me I was not the 1st one to complain and suggested me switching to Frog tape. Later on when I had a chance to discuss with local Behr rep who told me he encountered the same issue when he painted his house. He said the solution was to use either Frog tape or Scotch Contractor Grade Masking Tape. So I started using Frog tape and the result was fantastic. Not sure how Scotch blue tape works with other brand paint, but for the Behr Ultra paint I recommend Frog Multi-Surface Painter's tape.

Easy to tear, sticks well and removes cleanly. Paint hasn't seeped under tape so helps create nice clean lines. It's the only brand of painter's tape I buy. Multi pack saves on cost per roll

This tape was recommended in a Wirecutter review for labelling freezer and other food containers. It works alright, but it doesn't live up to the "sticks to everything" claim.

I am not a professional painter, but over the past few decades, I have painted numerous boats, houses, apartments, commercial spaces, etc, either for myself or as part of jobs I formerly held. For the longest time, I didn't bother using masking tape (when paining by hand) because it almost always bled through, or if not, it would pull the paint off of whatever surface I was trying to protect. Either way, it created more work for me than it saved, compared to just taking my time when cutting in by hand. But I have to admit, the green Frogtape has won me over. I first used it maybe 5 years ago in my own home (to make a striped accent wall in the nursery), and since then, it's all I'll buy now. Whether using on flat yet bumpy surfaces like painted drywall, or complex yet smooth surfaces like baseboard or crown moulding, it seals consistently and reliably, and comes off easily without causing any damage, even on freshly painted surfaces. Additionally, I recently started loading Frogtape into their competitor's Blue Tape Applicator, and the combination of these two products is unbeatable in terms of time saved as well as quality and consistency of outcome. Took me about an hour or so to tape around ~400 linear feet of baseboard and window/door trim over about 1100 sq ft of wall space. And I only had one small spot of bleed-through, which was my fault for not cleaning that section of moulding as well as I should have, leading to the tape not adhering as well as it wanted to.

Great stuff for preventing paint bleed on baseboards.

This is a great painters tape, and it comes off easily. Since I discovered it, I've probably bought 10+ rolls, and won't be going back. Compared to the generic blue painters tape, this is better at preventing bleeding paint. Remember to always create a tab on one end to make it easy to peel off (fold the extra tape over onto itself) I've never had an issue with leftover adhesive after a short use on walls, but there is a yellow lower-tack version for if you need to leave it on for a long time (like mounting artwork) or are working with a delicate surface (like wallpaper). I mostly use painters tape for labeling boxes so that I can easily take the labels off and re-use them. I like that frog tape uses lighter colored tape colors, as opposed to the typical darker blue. It's easier to read the labels. NOTE FOR ARTISTS: If you're trying to use a painters tape for artwork on delicate papers (e.g., watercolor paper), you should instead use a low tack artist tape. This is just the wrong kind of tape. If you're painting on a sturdy surface like canvas, I would still recommend using the (yellow) low tack version of the frog tape.

So easy to work with and gives a professional job. Cheaper stuff is not worth it. Wastes time and poor outcome.

Fabulous tape for all painting needs. Easy to apply and adjust if required. Removes with ease although occasionally does tear. No leaks of paint unlike cheaper tapes.
