X-TRA HARD Was comfortable in hand, plastic, unexpectedly easy to squeeze
1) The X-TRA HARD was too easy to squeeze for an average weight training male athlete.2) It indeed is more comfortable to grip and use.3) Seems to be mostly plastic. Let's see how long it lasts (maybe the springs are quality, we'll see).4) I'll keep it and use it to strengthen my pinkies and thumbs and to goof with while watching TV.5) Will probably order one of the gripmaster units for serious strength training.Update 22-July-2020): I now have just bought a gripmaster PRO with extra heavy tension. It is somewhat harder to squeeze than the sportsgrip. However, its range of motion (squeezable distance) is less. I wish the sportsgrip had at least one more level of hardness (such as XX-TRA HARD) so I could give it 5 stars. SPORTSGRIP is noticeably more comfortable to use than the gripmaster. So, I'm going to move its rating from 3 starts to 4 stars. If the plastic wears out soon, I'll drop the rating back down.

Rubber pads don’t stay on
i left the strength trainer in a bag for a short period of time and all the grip pads had fallen off into the bottom of the bag

Like the gripmaster on steroids!
My overall impression of this hand exerciser is WOW! I was used to the old gripmaster and this is so much more ergonomic, challenging and fun. It is so comfortable and fits my hand perfectly. If you do any sport that involves your hand, fingers and wrist(which is almost all sports)you need to use this product. It allows you to effectively exercise your entire hand or work each finger individually. It will strengthen your grip and forearms rather quickly. It is very effective for all racquet sports, body builders, musicians, rock climbers, bowlers, martial artists, and especially for anyone needing to rehab their hand or wrist! If you have tennis elbow this could certainly help you. The sportsgrip is also good for stress relief and I use mine while sitting in traffic. The price is extremely reasonable for the high quality and design of the product. Like my grandfather used to say "it's a damn gift" lol. Do yourself a favor and buy 2, one for your home or office and one for your car. I would highly recommend this product!

Almost good
Finger pads come off. Ok but not great

Great design, but one substantial flaw
The individual finger pistons rub against the side of the openings during the downward pull, interrupting the smooth flow of muscle extension. The manufacturer claims a great deal of effort went into creating an ergonomic design that makes the exerciser the best of its kind. I find that the GRIPMASTER, the predecessor of SPORTSGRIP, developed by the same people, has a much smoother piston movement.I realize that the SPORTSGRIP is relatively inexpensive, but I would gladly have paid more money to have a smoother operating device. The manufacturer's claims of ergonomic design overlook this flaw.

Fits great in the hand
After looking at various devices, I narrowed it down to the best seller the Gripmaster and Sportsgrip. I'm glad that I found the Sportsgrip before I got the Gripmaster. What made it stand out was the ergonomic shape, rubber cushions, looks and color of the x-tra hard version. Then the other decision was choosing the right tension which took me a while to finally decide on this one. I'm also glad I chose to get the x-tra because I didn't want to have to buy another once I got use to the lighter tension models. This is not as hard as it makes it out to be and I'm no muscle man and I have no issues with the x-tra hard. This is a great device and it's perfect for me but the only thing is, there's no harder model to advance to once your use to this one. I don't know why more people aren't buying this one instead of the Gripmaster?

Not as Claimed
I am in technical field and possessed 4 patents (3 issued and 1 still is pending). I have medium/large hands. This figures exerciser is not well designed and/or manufactured as intended. I like the concept, but not the aerodynamic shape of it and functions of the unit. I will not return it and I will not recommend it.

pro device meant for the pros
As a professional athlete, who puts in about 8 hours a day training in various fighting games such as granblue fantasy versus, guilty gear, and street fighter... this device was designed for pros like me. I could feel my ring finger become stronger after a few sessions and now I never miss DP on my hitbox. Thanks SPORTSGRIP!

指一本からOK
指をバラバラに動かせます。小指はキツいので調整出来たらいいなぁと思いました。

Feels good to use, fits palm nicely
Feels very sturdy and grips really well, but wish it could be abit harder considering it's "Xtra Hard"

It's pretty good
Never had a hand excersiser before but this one is of decent quality. The shape does accomodate for the shape of my hand. The rubber finger tips can be taken off, however I don't see it becoming a problem. Not as strong as I thought it would be but it's enough, I wouldn't get anything less than the X-TRA HARD Sportsgrip.
