From what I've read so far, this book seems to contain excellent information. However, they should pack a magnifying glass with it. The font appears to be about 8 point or smaller. Ridiculous for an educational book. No way you'll be able to keep it on the worktable for a quick reference while working. Five stars for content, one star for presentation. Average three stars.

Only half way through, but this has not disappointed. From the man who, literally, wrote the book (3 of them !) on wood finishes - this one has been correctly targeted specifically at beginners - and has so far answered all of the detailed questions I had as I eagerly awaited its arrival. 'Can you varnish over paint' (Yes !) etc etc.And as a plus, this is a fully revised up to date re-print - only available from 1st March 2022. Excellent ! *****
