A must have for Asus Aura / RGB header compatible motherboards
The media could not be loaded. I'm using it with my case(Phanteks Eclipse P400 Tempered Glass side) and an Asus Aura motherboard (Asus Maximus IX HERO). It works perfect. I have included a video displaying me setting various colors and a color effect in the Aura syncing software and it's effect on the built in case lights. Something not possible without this cable. If you have a problem, just plug your case lights back into normal power , turn off the case lightning by holding down the color change button located on the case and then reconnect the adapter to the case and to the aurasync motherboard and it should work fine. DO NOT PRESS THE COLOR CHANGE BUTTON ON THE CASE WHILE THE COMPUTER IS ON AND SYNCED WITH AURASYNC, this will mess up the sync.

Works with WS2812B strip - but
The pinout of the 4 pin ends is not the same as the board connection. Your mobo is probably P - D - x - G and this pinout is P - G - D - x. Not a problem once you see it.Enables WS2812B to work with a Gigabyte AORUS M. Might get the Phantek strips to put in the case, as I don't need a whole 1m strip in this little case. The Gigabyte RGB Fusion options for the addressable strips are nothing to write home about, though. But that has nothing to do with this.

Works fine but disapointing cash grab.
Bought this to connect my Phanteks Halos 4 pin RGB to connect to motherboard pin. Apparently the Phanteks Halos have their own proprietary 4 pin plug that doesn't connect directly to the motherboard, only to their controller. You need to buy this to convert it and connect directly to my motherboard (x570 Elite). It works and fits perfectly but this feels like a cash grab by Phanteks, just make the pin plug directly to the motherboard instead of making your own pin.

Not bad! Mind your cable management.
I bought these accidentally to be honest. I built my wife a custom gaming PC and she is all about RGB LED's. So i ordered a Phaneks strip kit and these as well, not realizing that the strip kit came with one. Oh well. No biggie. Bear in mind however, that there is no standard for RGB interfaces as of yet. On the MSI motherboard that my wife uses, the red and blue connections that go onto the motherboard are backwards from what they are on the cable, but they are accurate on my ASUS motherboard. You can work around this by doing a bit of thinking but if it bothers you too much, you can rearrange the wires at the clip if you have a decent pick. There is plenty of length to work with here, and the wiring isn't bulky so routing back and behind your motherboard is pretty pain free. Good stuff!

An HONEST review
I was very indecisive about buying this item, but since it was only $3 I thought I'd give it to try. Many reviews and videos online say that either it doesn't work with the p400S, because the sata cable controls the fans too, or that it is just incompatible with the RGB header it has. I found setting this cable up to be one of the easiest things I've ever done on my PC. I have the p400S and I did not need to unplug the sata cable or turn off the LEDs at all before unplugging and installing this cable. I plugged one end into my motherboard RGB header (my mobo is an ASUS PRIME-z390A), the other end into the case LED, and the other end into the included LED strip that I got with the case. Booted it up first time and it was already synced perfectly. The only LED that did not sync was the actual power button itself, but I'm fine with that since I can just control it with the included case LED control.

Owners of the P400S case beware!
I purchased this product in the hope of being able to control my P400s's lights and Phantek's RGB strip via my motherboards RGB header. For a case such as the P400 (which only has the RGB controller) this product should work fine. I saw in the description, "Allows you to synchronize your Phanteks cases with Multi-colors LED control (Luxe, Mini XL, P400..) and Phanteks Led strip to the motherboards software."And assumed that because my P400S does include Phantek's RGB controller, that this product would work.In the included instructions, you unplug the case's SATA power connector to disable the on board RGB controller. Unfortunately for owners of the P400s case, this connection also powers the on board fan controller built into the case and same board where the RGB controller is, which I was currently using. Now I could probably mess with the connectors on the circuit board to isolate the fan controller, but the below paragraph takes the cake.On a probably unrelated note, my motherboard may not be putting off 12 volts through its RGB header as the lights were very dim compared to when I had it hooked up to the case's controller.Overall, thsi product seems to work well for the p400 and other listed cases. This will NOT work at the same time as the fan controller in the P400S.

Unit works as long as you connect to 5-pin RGB port on M-Board, not 4-pin Port.
Edit from original review where I reported that the Red, Orange, Green, and yellow doesn't work and displays white instead. I had the RGB connector connected to the RGB header that goes to the CPU cooler on my GIGABYTE AORUS GA-AX370-Gaming K7/Phanteks ENTHOO EVOLV case. I did this because this adapter is a 4 pin and the other RGB connector on the board is a 5-pin connector. You cannot connect a 4-pin connector to a 5-pin port without bending pins on the motherboard.I connected this to the other end of my RGB strip by using a male-to-male 5-pin extender and cutting off one of the pins, making it into a 4-pin connector. Once I did that and connected this adapter to the strip, all the colors synced perfectly. I'm very happy now and giving this adapter 5 stars.Lesson learned is that you cannot use the RGB header that is close to the CPU unit. The AMD wraith spire RGB colors have a different pin-out arrangement. Find a way to use the 5-pin RGB connector on your motherboard with this adapter and you will be golden.
