Wish I had read the comments more...
Although the content is what I was looking for, to identify different Oak Species, they could have done a LOT BETTER on the book itself. It has NO COLOR Pictures, and the ones that are here, are not very well done. The pages are of some kind of cheap paper, not smooth at all. I would have expected more for $25!!

DO NOT buy!
the images in this book are very low quality- had I done more research on the product I may have found this out prior to buying it. If it had higher resolution photos it would be alright but the photos are black and white and poor quality.Apparently you can find a free version online with color photos. I would go that route if you are planning on actually using this book for identifying oaks...

Replacement
I bought this guide to replace one that I had lost. My original had really good color pictures of leaves. This one appeared to be black and white copies of the original. Not nearly the quality of the original.

Disappointing
I saw another spiral-bound version of this book with color photographs and expected the same. The quality of these photos are poor as well as the ink quality. The only redeeming aspect of this book is the information.

Expected the book to be in color as shown on ...
Expected the book to be in color as shown on the Internet and not black and white. The text was very helpful.

No color photos.
It wasn't what I thought it would be. I wanted more information about Oak trees but it was more on identifying trees.

Not in color
While the information is still relevant, the color spiral bound version made identification MUCH easier. Disappointed this was in black and white but will keep it anyway because the hassle of returning it isn't worth it.

I do not fill my expectations. I wanted to use it for field but black and white does not work.
I expected the book to come in colors like the one found on the web, since it is easier to identify oak trees in the field. Why not sell it in the same way?Field Guide to Native oak Species of Eastern North America
