Q: Can you use different laundry bags than those that come with the cart?

If you want to design your own custom bags, feel free, You could carefully take apart the bags that come with it to use as a pattern. That said it would be a lot of work and the bags provided are very sturdy. Might want to just look into different ways of marking the backs (Iron on vinyl, embroidery if you know someone with a machine, etc)

Q: are the wheels removable?

Yes, everything comes disassembled so if you don't want the wheels you don't have to put them on, but I would put a rubber stopper to keep from from scratching the floor if you don't have carpet.

Q: What type of material is the bags

Kind of a canvas. I've had it for awhile now, and it's holding up nicely.

Q: is this cart collapsible?

Not really, no. The only way would be to take it apart and put it back together again.
