Still to build the kit and will probably be on the shelf until summer is past but it seems to be a well made kit with 2 build options with nice decal sets. Although it is a 1/48 kit it seems to me to be quite small but that is probably just myself being used to making bombers at this scale. It will be a challenge for my dodgy eyesight but i am looking forward to the build.

This is a great kit of a classic aeroplane. out of the box there are a number of options and plenty of detail to keep fans happy. It's size means that it doesn't take up too much space when built. Parts fit is great but beware when assembling the engines because the propeller axles can get contaminated and seize up when using liquid cement.

You get an engine and 2 gun bays. You don’t get swastika for the tail. It’s a German law it can’t be displayed so for sales in Germany. No one gets them. But there is no reason why Airfix can’t make them in 2 parts like other kit makers. The kit is small. A lot smaller than i remember but it was 55yrs ago the last time I built one and that was 1/72 Cutting out the gun bays from top wing is to fiddly for my eyesight. The engine is nice and a lot easier to build. All in all a nice kit.

The actual model kit is great but Amazon decided to ship it without a outer box so it had labels all over the art box. Not good when giving as a gift.

I usually stick to Tamiya or Hobbyboss for my model kits, but Airfix had a great looking Ju 87 Stuka in its arsenal, and I hadn't built one since I was a teenager, so I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. I wasn't disappointed with the kit, nice crisp moulds, very little flash to speak of and nice panel line and rivet detail. The kit gives you the option to build with the engine uncovered or closed up. I preferred mine closed. The fit was very good and very little filler was required. The fuselage and wing joint went together very well. The finished build looked really nice, and after a bit of airbrushing and detailing it looked spot on. The decals went down very well too, although I did use some of my own stencils that I had purchased for this aircraft. One thing to be aware of, this kit does not come with the swastika emblem, so if you wish to apply these you will have to purchase or use stencils to create your own. Thoroughly recommend this model, hopefully the attached photos will give an idea of what you can achieve with a bit of time and patience.

Iconic aircraft so even if you are a new stater in modelling or returning to modelling after decades. You'll be able to make it look good. The covid restrictions got me back into modelling, and governments saying to stay at home as much as possible. I'm a complete amateur but still made a half-decent job at the kit. Pus the 1:48 scale makes it a bit easier for us older guys' less fiddly bits. Good kit I recommend it.

Bought as a gift for my Grandson. He was very pleased and said that it was one of the newer models.

Je viens de le recevoir et je ne l'ai pas encore monté mais après comparaison avec d'autres kits du même avion ce kit Airfix semble être le meilleur. Il est plus détaillé: Il y a même des pièces séparées pour représenter les entrées d'air filtrées sur les coté du capot moteur en bas. Il y a aussi un pilote. Il y a 2 types de réservoir supplémentaires et les volets et les gouvernes sont séparés La notice de montage est bien faite et en couleur et les décalcs sont bien nets. Seule la gravure des tôles du fuselage est un peu trop marquée à mon gout .

エデュアルドに続いてエアフィックスからも1/48スケールの初期D型が登場しましたが、個人的にはエデュアルドに先手を打つ為にも、後期D型よりこちらを先に出すべきだったと思います。 エデュアルドは、ドーサルフィン無しの初期D型の胴体を丸ごと新規に起こしていましたが、エアフィックスは胴体一部のパーツ差し換えでの再現です。 差分パーツのフィッティングは問題なく、ドーサルフィンのない初期D型のプロポーションを問題なく再現していますが、初期D型のもうひとつの特徴である、羽布張りのエレベーター(昇降舵)の再現が無視されているのがとても残念です。 先発のエデュアルドやタミヤとドイツレベルの1/32でもきちんと再現していたので、ここは拘って欲しかったです。 修正方法のひとつとしては、エデュアルドの後期D型キットで余る、初期D型用のエレベーターを移植する事ですが、エアフィックスとエデュアルドのキットを両方揃えるのは一部のマニアくらいだと思うので、一般的な手段とは言えないでしょう。 ちなみに私はエデュアルドのパーツを移植して修正しましたが、取り付けピンを切り取っただけで、ほぼストレートに使用できました。 それ以外の出来は良く、胴体のラジエーター内部は完成したらほとんど見えませんが、このスケールでは最も実機の構造を忠実に再現していると思います。 筋彫りは深く太めなので批判的な意見もあるみたいですが、塗装で簡単に埋まらない為の配慮だと言われています。 タイヤはトレッドパターンの違いで二種類付属しますが、P-51のタイヤのトレッドパターンは十種類近く存在するので、ここまで忠実に再現しようとすると大変ですし、左右でトレッドパターンの違うタイヤを履いている機体も複数確認できます。 アクセサリーは75ガロン増槽と108ガロン強化紙製増槽、500ポンド爆弾が付属します。 付属するマーキングは、トーマス・クリスチャン大佐機の「LOUⅣ」と、ジョージ・プレディ少佐機の「クライプス オマィティ三世」の二種で、どちらも有名な機体です。 クリスチャン大佐機の「LOUⅣ」は、1944年7月11日に広報用に撮影された、カラーとモノクロ写真が残っていますが、それから間もない8月12日に対空砲火で撃墜されて、クリスチャン大佐も戦死しています。 プレディ少佐は26機を撃墜した、P-51のパイロットとしてはトップエースですが、1944年12月24日に味方の対空砲火の誤射で撃墜されて戦死しています。 デカールは最近のエアフィックス・スタンダードとも言える上質なカルトグラフ製で、インベイジョンストライプのデカールも入っています。 エレベーターの再現が唯一残念ですが、作ってみるとエデュアルドなどの他社キットにない魅力を感じたので、お薦めしたいキットです。
