Samsung Internal SATA Black SH-224DB 24X DVD Burner Writer for Desktop PC - OEM Bulk Drive with No Software

Resurrecting a Powermac G5 received a couple of weeks ago (mint condition, no issues with CAPs leaking) - the old DVD/CD drive had signs of failing (original, over 12 years old!), however, the price of a new PATA DVD/CD would cost more 7 times more than this unit. Had to buy a PATA to SATA converter (these things have gotten better over the years) to use the new unit. Works flawlessly in the G5 - reads, writes, etc. with no issues.

Works great

i has worked the few times i've used it. just wanted an inexpensive dvd drive. i don't use it often, but it works fine. i recommend it

Good, Fast, Reliable and quite. Going on 3 years in service.

Took literally 2 minutes to install. Windows identified it quickly and it worked right away.

Does its job and does it well. Crazy fast read speeds.

Bought for a new build, and it works like a charm.

Not sure about this one. The unit does not have the Samsung logo in the front or top . Seems i received a generic. Hmm. Will keep you posted.

Its great value for money. It is working fine for the past two weeks.
