If you have bad water with lots of iron, you need to keep this stuff handy. I replaced my pool liner this spring and to save money filled it with the hose from my house. My water is very rusty, and I knew I would need something. So, I bought metal out and used it as directed. Needless to say, it worked wonderful!!! Pool filled, water was ugly, started filter and a day later pool was almost crystal clear. Couple of filter backwashes and a good vacuuming and the pool looks great. I will be supplementing with Metal Out every time I use the hose to top off my pool. Must have if you have rusty water.

My pool has been cleaner than it has been in 2 years. Due to me having a fiberglass pool sometimes it’s difficult to get everything brushed. This made it so much easier to remove grime.

I was very hesitant to use this in our pool but it worked good with also doing other iron removal methods. We have hard well water so the iron in the water made it very dirty looking even though it wasn’t. Adding the metal out and doing the sock method (check out YouTube for that) our pool was clear after a week. The first two photos are 5 days apart and the third is what it cleared ended up looking like after a few more days. We do not have new water running through our pool constantly so we only needed to use one bottle of the metal out. I do not think that using just the metal out would’ve been effective, the sock method was a big help in getting all of the iron out.

My pool stairs were completely black from metal deposit. I used this product (3 bottles on a small pool). It took about a week and my stairs are perfectly white again. I will definitely buy again.

This product is most likely for professional pool companies who provide pool service to homeowners. The instructions are labor intensive- my pool pH has never been below 7.8 & the instructions state the pH must be 6.8 before using this product.

I very rarely write reviews, but as a pool owner I know the frustration of a hard to deal with issues. I had three problems with my pool. 1. Staining from organic debries 2. Rust stains from pool fixtures and the worst 3. Caked Calicium to the bottom of the pool. I did not have hope, but I purchased the 4 set bottle. My pool is 17500 and i am supposed to use slightly less than 2 bottles. I however used both. After 2 days all the rust organic, and calcium stians are GONE.I ensured that I followed the directions properly. The Ph dropped to 6.8 by using acid. I let the chlorine to 0. Then used two bottelms. It takes about 3 full days to see visible results. So be patient. During those three days, I did not add much chlorine and did not change PH.Fortunately it was cloudy here so I did not have a high risk of algae attack. So i suggest doing this treatment when you dont have a lot of sun, and it is cooler.I plan to use this treatment every year to ensure that my pool is sparkling. Thank you!

Along with metal catchers, this worked great to clump the metal and allow it to get caught in the filter. My pool was very high in metal, within 2 weeks. The pool was back to normal.
