EXOTAC - fireSLEEVE Waterproof Lighter Holder Case No Lighter Included (Black)

I bought one on here and one through battlebox and this one works great. I carry my lighter daily on a outdoor belt loop tether so great invention. The battlebox one the lid will not stay on unless there's nothing inside defeating its purpose.

Product is fine, seems a little pricey, but does what it's supposed to do.

Finally decided to buy the fire sleeve to protect my Bic lighter from damage and accidental gas leaks. The sleeve looks well constructed but if I had to guess what would go wrong with it, it would be where the cam joins the bottom part. There is no locking tab/rib just the natural snug fit. I think this is where with time will smooth and loosen up where the lid comes/fall off. At that point I will have to dumby cord it to the bottom half. It does have hanging loops at both ends, not quite sure why. The bottom loop I can tie it to myself, belt, or bag cause that part is very snug on the lighter. The lid loop I would use more as a pull tab. Overall I do recommend to protect your lighter.

Several people have claimed that the hard plastic top doesn't stay on the rubber bottom part. I have always modified my Firesleeves by tying 1/8" shock cord around them and securing the shock cord with a cord lock as shown in the photo. You won't have any mishaps if you do this. I would have given the product 5 stars if the material was more durable, and price point was lower. However, I've never had an issue with damage to my Bic lighter, or with finding all the butane gone. The Firesleeve has performed as advertised. Also, I was looking to purchase an orange/black model, but there were none available for shipping to my area, so I decided to buy an all black model.

Excellent protection for Bic lighters. Keeps them dry and protects from accidental letting gas from escaping while in your pocket

This little product is really great. Put it in a cargo pocket. Don’t usually do that, so……. Forgot it and ran the lighter through the washer and the dryer. When I realized what I had done, I pulled it out of the dryer. It was so hot I had to get an oven mit to hold it. Pulled off the cap and the lighter worked perfectly. Can’t ask for more.

It's good to protect a Bic lighter in. The only downside is you can't wrap much duct tape around the lighter. It won't fit in the case. Oh well, I carry two anyways.

Get for a survival kit or a go bag. Really prevents your lighter from wasting fuel. A little over priced in my opinion
