Every home need one
It marked as 75 psi but actually about 95 psi when it starts relief pressure. It does leak when I set my water pressure in pipe to be 80psi. I resolved that issue by opening the valve and turned the adjustment for about half turn clockwise. Now its starts to relief pressure about 100 psi and no longer leaks. It squeaks once when water hammer happens and leaks a few drops of water. This means it is very sensitive. I think it should be code required for every home. People are under a false sense of security of their home water pressure is under certain psi because they have a pressure regulator. The reality is if the pressure reducing valve leaks, which is very common, it will only need a little water to increase the in home water pressure. Although most pressure regulating valves are good quality but after a few years especially when you get some solids in the water, the seal will not be 100% water proof. In such case when you have a water pressure surge from the city on top of pressure surge caused by water hammer, you are likely to have a busted water pipe. This pressure relieve valve is the most reliable solution. I hope the spring will not break. I saw a lot of this kind of valve on Amazon under different brands but I believe they are all the same. I should have bought a cheaper ones to save few dollars.

Good product
I wanted to add a pressure relief valve to my irrigation system after I had a sprinkler head lock up. I did test the relief pressure and it was about 70 psi. For the price, this is a great deal.

WORKS
Drips a little. Leaves a damp spot about 2โ diameter on concrete. But itโs outside so Iโll live with it. It does relieve the excess pressure as needed!!

Quality and Cheaper on Amazon
I purchased this after watching a Home Depot How To Video on YouTube. They were double the price at the common hardware stores when I needed it and I couldn't find this size in stock in store. Anyway, it worked for my pressure tank tee. And it's not the cheap, made in China lightweight material. It's pretty heavy.
