I ordered one of these for home and after assembling it, ended up ordering two more, so that explains the four stars, but the keyboard shelf is going to be too low for some users. I removed it for the user of one desk, our younger child, and the user of another one liked it low. A short chair means the shelf is higher. A tall office chair can be lowered usually but that puts the user closer to the grounds and not eveyone wants that. The third user also did not want the keyboard shelf and that was fine because it had shattered in transit, FYI. Since the rest of the desk was in fine shape, we kept it. The keyboard shelf can stay or go without changing the sturdiness of the desk, so removing is no problem. I am pleased with this purchase. PHOTO NOTES: The one photo shows the box with the shattered keyboard shelf, confirming these are definitely made of safety glass. Also, we are short one office chair and that's why the one desk (with the keyboard shelf) has the folding chair. I am not implying you need a folding chair to use the keyboard shelf since most office chairs are adjustable.

The only reason I can't give this desk 5 stars? The bottom shelf (not the keyboard shelf) impedes putting a chair fully underneath the desk. The shelf is installed separately but I highly recommend installing it as the desk would be too wobbly without it. The shelf adds stability.********************************************************************************************************************************************************Instructions are pictured and written also, there are even a few extra bolts supplied as well as an Allen wrench/screwdriver combo for assembly.The black frame is powder-coated steel and arrived with no scratches. The two pieces of frosted glass are packaged in a separate box inside the main box. It was packaged with lots of Styrofoam for protection and I recommend taking it out of the box outdoors if possible - or you'll have little tiny pieces of Styrofoam to pick up. I also kept a handheld vac nearby to clean off each piece as I unboxed it.This was easy to assemble; it took me less than 30 minutes once I got it out of the carton. It helps immensely if you have another set of hands when the shelf needs installed.Don't fully tighten all the bolts until you have it fully assembled, then go back over the bolts for final hand-tightening.While the lower shelf gets in the way of my chair, it IS handy: it's wide enough to put a small printer there if you want - I use the shelf for my cable management box:  Cable Management Box Organizer - (Storage for Desk, TV, Computer, & USB Hub) System to Cover and Hide, Power Strips, Surge protector, & Cords + 2 Wire Ties (Black) - Melca  It makes the entire set-up look so much nicer.I really didn't want the slide-out keyboard tray, but the way this is manufactured, you have to attach it or it wouldn't look right.The thickness of the glass top is 1/4". The keyboard tray measures about 13-1/2" front to back and 29" wide. All the glass is finished smoothly with no sharp edges.

I ordered this desk to have a place to work on a computer with a separate keyboard. It's sleek-looking enough to be in the living room, and it's easy to move if we need to change furniture placement. It was also quite reasonably priced, and does not contain any fiberboard or other questionable materials. When it arrived, the glass top was smashed into many pieces. We contacted customer service, and they sent out a replacement top. Warning on this: they told me they would not have been able to replace an l-shaped top. I got the impression this is because they didn't have them in stock. Fortunately, they were able to send the new top, and it arrived without any damage. My husband, who is pretty handy, found it easy to assemble, and the keyboard shelf slides easily.

I love this desk! I needed a small desk for a tight space and this desk met that requirement. It was packaged well and every piece arrived in perfect condition. I have to say that I was especially impressed with the fact that they packaged and labeled each part separately including the screws and other accessories. The instructions were spot on and easy to follow. The glass pieces on both the table top and keyboard tray are thick and sturdy. I am very happy with this purchase.

The desk is absolutely beautiful. Sturdy and fairly easy to put together ( I had a couple of small issues) but I general simple. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because the desk had some missing paint on the metal which had a little rust which concerns me for later.

I checked the measurements before purchase, because I wanted to have room on the desk top for the tower as well as the monitor. My husband assembled the desk and he said it was easy to do. It looks good and is well-made. I recommend this product.

The desk is awesome, looks great, and wasn't too tough to assemble. I love the frosted glass. My light up keyboard and mouse look awesome through it at night when they're drawer (shelf?) is slid in. I docked a star because I put my rig on the bottom shelf, which can't support it without bending. If you're thinking of putting your rig on there, maybe skip assembling the bottom shelf and put it right on the floor. Aside from that, I only use one monitor, and I think it could fit two but it'd be tight and there might be some overhang. If you're thinking of using it with multiple monitors you'll want to make sure your monitors will fit the way you want them to before buying.

Looks great, easy to put together. Exactly what I was looking for.
