My adorable nephew loved the toy as well as his older brother who kept taking it away from him. That bit was less than entertaining since the baby kept screaming once it was taken away. The lights are bright enough that it distracts the kids and apparently babies are fascinated. I never expected this toy to have the power to silence a baby who has the lungs of a banshee. He has gotten into a habit of throwing this toy off his high chair when he gets too excited with the buttons or just trying to give the adults a hard time. Apparently it is amusing for a baby to see an adult pick up their toys as they watch with disappointed disdain. The good thing is that the toy still functions with no outward or inner signs of damage. I'm thinking this toy was made Kryptonian shielding or Wolverine's adamantium which is perfect for my nephew's destructive hands. My advice is to get this, parents who can't bear their children's cries have the hope that this toy might possibly distract their kids for a little while. BUY THIS FOR SLEEP OR SILENCE :D (Just a little humor) But enjoy this product, it truly is great for babies.

This was a gift for an 18 month old who receives lots of attention as well as gifts. Of all he received for Christmas, this was the one thing that held his attention and that he searched for over and over. He loves opening the laptop to begin "working". When he reaches for something he shouldn't have or touch he is told "that's not your work". His parents' laptop is not his work. It is amazing how easily he was redirected to his own work with no need to raise your voice or other discipline. He loves to switch the different settings, play the music and dance to it. He also repeats words he hears it say, and always returns the goodbye when he closes it. I saw complaints that a child could pinch their fingers while closing it. That was absolutely no problem. I spent a week with him after Christmas and he showed no signs of loosing interest at all. In fact he was very possessive of it. It was well worth the reasonable price I paid for it.

I bought this toy for my sons first Christmas. He was 10 months at the time and always going after my laptop. Although he obviously didn't connect the dots that it was atoy intended to replace my laptop attraction, it still worked wonders. He was instantly hooked. It really has an infinate number of combinations of sounds and songs, Although he quickly found a few patterns that he preferred to make. I don't really know if he really learned anything, but he clearly found out how to make certain combinations of sounds, phrases and songs that he would play repeatedly for extended periods of time. I loved this toy because just the look of it calmed him down when he was being clingy or fussy, and I could let him sit with it so I can get things done. My sone is now 2, and he is still hooked on it to the point where he has a hard time sharing with him younger brother (who also loves it). The durability is fantastic. My 2 year old has since taken to stomping on it with bare feet to make it work (until I had to take it from him) and it works without a problem and is barey dinged up despite this and other abuses it has endured.

I bought this for my African Grey Parrot. He absolutely loves it and plays with it constantly. It is very sturdy and resists that strong beak. So far he has not been able to destroy it, but I know he probably will. Talk about durable??? He throws it from the top of his cage to the wooded floor and it just keeps working. If that isn't a solid testimony to its durablility, I dont know what it! I dont know why there is a rating for volume. You cant change it...so?

We purchased this for our grandaughter for Christmas (2009) who was only 5 1/2 months old at the time. From the very beginning it has been her favorite toy. She loves things that has music and sounds. In the beginning she could only move the mouse, but knew you had to touch the keys for sound and lights. She has been touching the keys and letting it play on her own for a while now. Not only does she like the music, but she likes the lights just as well. This laptop has kept her interest for the longest period of time. It also has two volumes and three different positions for sounds/music. Great toy, great price!!!! Would definately recommend and plan on purchasing another for a baby gift.

My daughter sees me working on my laptop when she is in her play area. She loves playing with this laptop toy and sitting in her high chair next to me - she pretends to type and it looks like she would be working as well. And what's best it doesn't have a real screen so it's better for her one year old eyes

I bought this for my autistic 1 year old because he likes anything that lights up. The buttons are big and easy to push. Very educational. Each button on the "keyboard" has a corresponding picture that lights up on the "screen". My 3 year old likes to play with it because he is old enough to understand the relationship between the button and the picture. For exampe: On the keyboard there is a button with a picture of a hand on it. On the screen, in the corresponding place as the hand, there is a picture of a rattle. When you push the button the rattle will light up and it will say something like "I like to shake my rattle with my hand". I catch myself playing with it from time to time. Has 3 different play modes, a "mouse", and volume control.

I was not sure what to think of this toy at first, but it was a good price so I gave it a chance. When I received it, the demo batteries were dead, but I put in new batteries and it worked perfectly. After giving the toy to my son, I can say he LOVES this toy. Also, when it plays a song it finishes the song even when another button is pressed instead of starting a new song(just makes quieter sound effects during the song), easy to say Mommy learned to love this toy quickly too with that feature.

a bit too flashy, and music is a bit over stimulating

We love this baby laptop. We had it for my older kids too and they loved it too, so we decided to look for it again and for our surprise we found it!!! Our little one just loves it and lots of fun. For best use we secured it to her high hair with small picture hanging strips( 3 M command) so she can’t drop it easily.

A perfect gift for small hands. Bought it for my sister in laws son. He just loved it. Would recommend this , a perfect gift

This was also a gift, all v tech children’s toys are airways usually a big hit, and that there also very educational. Some more then others, but bottom line is children love them.
