Outdoor Research Ultralight Dry Sack 10L

I bought the 10L as a dry sack for my extra backpacking clothes. While I mostly see 12L or 13L (See Sea to Summit dry-sill) sacks being used, att the time I purchased the 10L was $8.25 direct from Amazon. I also have a few knock-off brand "dry" sacks for odds and ends, but the build quality of the OR bag is miles ahead. I especially like the loop on the clasp so that you can tie it off or use it as a bear bag in a tree. The 10L is just enough for a base layer shirt and pants, swim suit, performance t-shirt, 2 pairs of hiking socks and underwear and a puffy jacket stuffed on top.

Being that it's ultralight, just take care with heavy bulky items being placed into it. It's better for hauling lighter items like food/bars/dirty clothes than a camera that might rub holes in the material. It is EASY to repair with some tenacious tape though.

This is a great dry sack and does everything I need it to. I have been using it as my primary food storage/bear bag system. There is plenty of room for multi-day food storage and it feels like it is made out of high quality material.

If you want a dry bag that won't keep your contents dry, then this is the one for you. Used one time inside a 1000D ruck and everything was wet after briefly being submerged in a pond.

Outdoor research has never done me wrong. I'm using this bag while I'm backpacking around the world. It keeps my documents dry and I'm never worried about them getting ruined. It's durable and strong. Plus it holds so much!!!

This is a good quality knock-off of the MSR Pocket Rocket original. Unlike some of the mini stoves sold on Amazon, it is sturdy enough for a 1 qt. pot of food. It is a good choice if you are cooking for more than one person.

Great concept but the material is easily torn. The weight of the bag is awesome.

10L is a great size for storing clothing in my backpack. I've taken it overnight hiking, kayaking, and canoeing. Earlier this year it spent several minutes fully submerged after flipping a canoe in some fast water. The bag (full of my clothes at the time) was drug through the water across rocks and downed limbs before I could get to it. My clothes were bone dry once I got it to shore. This bag is coming with me everywhere now.

Use these for multi day backpacking trips for my snacks. Even though its light weight and thinner than my other ones, it's still very durable.
