There are a lot of crappy, gimmicky, kitschy accessories for Mason jars out there and this is NOT one of them. I use a lid and stopper on my smoothie EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. with no leaks. The lids clean easily and seal well, and I don't think you could ever tear them or over tighten the lid ring and rip them. Sturdy construction. I put my filled jar in a water bottle holder on the side of a backpack and the lid had never slid off or out. My backpack has rolled around a few times and this thing has stayed spill free. Sometimes when the jar is full and you insert the stopper, it seems like you trap some air that could make spills more likely, but it's never happened to me and I've been using these every day for smoothies and green juices. Love this product!!

I appreciate these are silicon, not plastic. They are easy to use and, as long as I don't have really hot beverages or am sloppy putting them on, they don't leak. I do have to be careful that I line up the large part with the top of the jar and that I screw it on tightly. It's not hard to make sure it's on right and failure to do that is user, not product error (I'm sometimes in a big hurry and goof up, but that's par for the course). I make iced tea in 1/2 gallon mason jars and store in the fridge with these -- my husband now no longer complains about spills, as with other products that have a tab that flops over the holes and gets in the way when pouring. My only minor complaint is that I wish I could re-order the plugs alone, as I've now lost one. Also, there used to be a wider range of colors available (blue and green) but right now, they only seem to be sold as a set with a sleeve. The four colors are okay. I do prefer them over childish, overly bright primary colors. However, they aren't the prettiest colors I've ever soon.

These are definitely not leak proof. They are nice to have for drinks though

I've had the sleeve for a few months, so decided to try the matching lids. It works great! I use it every day to mix protein powder and iced coffee (vigorous shaking). I was amazed, not a drop spilled. I'm a little worried about losing the plug, but it seems to hold really tight. Also, it seems that the lid works upside down really nicely as a sipper cup. The price does seem a little high, but so far, the quality seems to make it worth it.

...my fruit protein shakes. My husband and I drink fruit shakes a few times a week, and we take them to work and these caps work perfectly for our mason jars. The stopper is snug, they stay on for vigorous mix-by-shaking. I dropped one star for the smell. The last lids we bought have kept that funky old fruit smell (it's not so off putting that we don't use them, just can't get the smell out) I've tried soaking them in vinegar, bleach water, not sure what else to use. Still a good, solid lid. I wish it had some kind of smaller hole, like in coffee lids, but I don't know how they'd do that and keep it from leaking! Maybe a smaller plug? LOL anyways....really like these lids! Thinking about getting the sleeves next.***UPDATE - 10/17/20 - it’s been a little over 3 years since I started using this almost daily and the silicone just ripped while my husband was shaking the protein shake. Perhaps it was the acidity of the shake that caused it to wear down? Still, 3 years is pretty decent, as far as I know. I have a couple other kids we hadn’t used as much as this one, but I’ll probably order another one in case this happens again.

This product seemed like it would be perfect for me to get rid of drinking out of plastic and it almost is. Their are two problems I have with this. 1. It has a slight rubber like smell to it that really throws off the tastes of my teas because my nose is always right in the product smelling it right before I drink. 2. The rubber cork can pop off with a vigorous protein shaking. Unfortunately number 2 happened to me in the gym bathroom and I left a mess everywhere. I am more cautious now. The cork is not really too much of an issue to me but the slight smell of the lid is not that great. I really wish I could find a product just like the blender bottle but made of glass.EDIT: Ok I don't usually update reviews but after using this for awhile the smell mostly went away. Also, I kept researching alternative type lids and I really can't think of a better design than this. I have not had another incident with the cork popping off but with a very vigorous shaking there might be a very slight amount of liquid that pools around the seal but it does not happen that often and I just lick it off. So far this really is the best design out there for me and I am using this product 3 times a day. Since I use it so much I thought it was fair for me to update my review to 5 stars. I actually bought two more sets of these and I bought some stainless steel rings because those tin ones are cheap. I guess my only complaint now is I wish there was more variety of colors. Well my other complaint would be that the cork/stopper is easy to lose. I have lost it so many times but luckily found it again. If I lose it permanently I am SOL. I wish this company would sell the cork/stopper separately for those of us who will lose one.I have one of those Recon lids but that thing broke on me and thicker liquids get trapped in the cap that is supposed to seal it. I have spilled drops of thick chocolate protein shakes three times now with that recon lid when I tilt it upside down to drink and it is really hard not to. Those are fine for water but not a thicker liquid that will get trapped in there. This is why the Brew Armor has become my favorite. I don't have the same problem and because the cork comes off I don't have a flip lid falling back over onto my face.Update 4/5/2017: I have now lost 3 corks. This is very frustrating because I can't figure out how to buy just the cork.
