With the cover raised, the full seat measures 14" long; 13 1/2 " wide. The oval opening is 10" long; 8" wide.

Q: Can this seat raise to 26" to support a patient who cannot use low rise commodes?

I have my commode set so the seat of the commode is at 21 inches from the floor and that's the highest it will go. For a very tall person this may not work. I am dealing with a fracture of the tibia in the leg and 21" works fantastic for me.

It fits over a regular toilet. For this application you don't put the bucket in. The one here has been in use for around six months with no problems.
