clean it. If you cut tape with it the glue from the tape will get into the parts. This also happens with pizza........

Can you lock the blade in the open position?

no. This has an AUTO RETRACTING BLADE. which is the SAFETY feature. You can use it quiet well with practice. You/I can, strip wire with it both removing lengths of insulation and for soldering connections. For cutting cardboard I using nothing else. It is prefect for people who don't know how to use a knife or box cutter.

Ease of use

This is a brilliant knife although it isn’t cheap! I’m a warehouseman and need a decent knife for my work and this ticks all the boxes! It’s so easy to change your blade and although larger than most in my eyes it’s a must buy! Love it, love it 10/10
