Works with the DVD drive from my Dell Inspiron N5010
I have an old Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop with a DVD drive that seems to be able to read any DVD. I have a 4 year old Lenovo which didn't come with an internal DVD and now a new Dell laptop, also without a drive. I took the drive out of the old Dell and counted the number of pins in the connection. It was 13 so I ordered the slimline cable. It works perfectly. I've run a number of DVDs through it with no problems. It is very convenient to just plug it into the USB on either laptop. I'm very pleased with the product
