This is the 4th Arcturus blanket I have purchased. They have other styles, but "Military" is my favorite.I have ordered a number of other "Military" style blankets here on Amazon. I have found them to be thin, usually with a somewhat loose weave. They tend to produce a lot of lint, smell like some sort of petroleum product, and have bits of obvious plastic (or some other large synthetic fiber) woven in.Arcturus is different.They are dense with a tight weave and do not produce lint (I haven't tried washing them yet, but even then, I expect them to hold up well)They do have a mild odor when you first open them, but it disappears quickly. The 20% "other fibers" in the "Military" style are not noticeable. I am very comfortable sleeping with these blankets. One will keep you warm most nights. On really cold nights, I use two and usually have to turn one of them down half way because I get too hot. (your mileage may vary...)These are slightly more expensive to purchase than others advertised on Amazon, but a cheap blanket that is disgusting and does not keep you warm is no bargain.Give these a try. I think you will like them.
