Is this dust bath clean? For example there are no ameobas present?

This dust sent my chinchilla (and others in reviews) to the ER with breathing problems and nose discharge. I feel so bad for the poor thing. With so many animals having the same problem with this product I can't believe they are still allowed to sell it.

Is aluminum silicate dust hazardous to breathe?

I don't know specifically what ingredient caused this and it may be a recent change in the product, but this dust sent my chinchilla (and others in reviews) to the ER with breathing problems and nose discharge. Why did this get hard when wet?

The product should not be exposed to water. The product is 100% pumice ground into a fine grade and is intended for use with Chinchillas for dry dust bathing only. The product should be discarded if wet or exposed to water, urine, etc. Feel free to call the Kaytee Team at 800-529-8331 if you have further questions.

Nice and clean diva

The only downside is now if my hamster goes into her hut and her sand isn't in there. She will throw the hut against the glass until I fill it back up. She loves bathing in it.

Chinchillas interest for sure! Rolls and jumps around all in it, however tho theres a mess to clean up after its easy to wash off with just extremely hot water thoroughly. No issues with the package coming in good shape. Very pleased with product!
