i have a solid core wood door that weighs approx. 60lbs , mounted with soss hinges . Will these work ?

Hi yes they should work. I just made a drawer inside stairs that are mounted on 60 inch long very heavy duty glides that hold up to 500 lbs plus the drawer weight and Contents and it does work

Would this work for a hidden compartment in floor?

This is a heavy duty latch. It works very well for heavy doors. (Our German pantry door with heavy shelves.) It would depend on the size of the floor compartment and the weight of the door. It is very tricky to set the latch so the door is absolutely flush with the floor, because you need a tiny space to push against the spring release. It can be done with very fine carpentry and perfect placement if you have those skills. All my kitchen doors and drawers sit off the cabinet by a 32nd of an inch.

Are these strong enough for kitchen drawers?

Yes, these double touch latches are perfect for heavy kitchen drawers. You can see the video above which our customer shares. On the video these drawers are wide and heavy. The bottom 2 have heavy pots and glass bakeware. These magnetic push latches are strong enough to almost push the drawers completely open.

Will these work with soft closing doors?

No. You have to remove the soft closing piston and attachments. Not hard to do, but it is a chore when there are a lot of them.
