Siphon coffee maker. A fun way to make coffee that gives the coffee a robust flavor. The glass in this coffee maker is durable and made to withstand super hot liquids (500°f). Easy to setup and clean. Makes a great cup of coffee. Comes with everything needed except burner fuel. The appearance is cool and definitely will make your friends ask questions about it and the process of making coffee with it. It is a great price and usually cheaper than your standard coffee maker.

I really enjoy coffee. I use many systems from drip to, French press to Aeropress. I really was intrigued by the vacuum coffee makers like this one since I saw a fancier example on Breaking Bad. It's a great conversation piece. Everybody just loves it and beg to see it work. It works just as expected and makes a great cup of coffee. I've never run into cleaning difficulty because I rinse and clean after each use. The cloth filter does get dirty and requires some attention to clean. I would recommend a supply of filters. Since the unit is glass you should be ready to take proper precautions to lessen the chance of breaking. The alcohol lamp works fine but takes awhile to heat. I picked up a butane burner and start with hot water so the wait time is shortened considerably. If you are looking for a really cool gadget that is functional this is something I think you would enjoy along with a fine cup of your favorite coffee!

UPDATE: - First, my apologies to the vendor. My previous review was not fair. I was in a foul mood and completely forgot the main reason why I bought this little gem. I have Keurigs, Nespresso machines, super auto espresso machines and various manual machines - most of which are in storage right now, due to circumstances The reason for purchasing this siphon coffee maker is the joy in the process of brewing the coffee, the ritual - so to speak. It’s like making a good cup of matcha. You know when it is done right. You have to stop and smell the roses. On average, it takes about 15 minutes to brew 16 ounces of coffee. - which includes 4 minutes of pre-heating the water in a microwave. (I prefer using the kettle.) Tips - buy more filters, buy a Bunsen burner style heater (it offers a lot more flame control than the included alcohol burner) and lastly, only buy coffee that has been tested for mold / mycotoxins. If you suffer from any auto-immune disease, the last tip is a must. DISCLOSURE: vendor did offer a full refund based on my previous review. I have declined the refund as I never want any of my reviews to be tainted. ————————————- previous review ———————- I wanted something that would make me a large mug of coffee. It barely makes a large cup of coffee. The bottom carafe barely holds 2 cups or 16 oz of water, NOT the 5 cups being advertised. Of course, they mention the cup size is only to be used as a reference.

Excelente producto, justo lo prometido

This is not heat resistant “Pyrex” style glass. Bottom carafe burst the third time I used it. Had a unit just like this several years ago by different maker that lasted several years and dozens of uses before being dropped by my teenager. Do not buy.

The burner doesn’t work well. The product is ok, but it was overpriced. Do not pay more than 30-35 for it. Amazon should have a price adjustment policy for these cases. Regarding coffee brewing, it does the job, not easy some times to take off the upper part. First usages were fine, but the burner is a pain, I have to preheat the water and the burner sometimes is not capable to heat enough for a complete filtering.

Den teuren Geräten mehr als ebenbürtig. Klare Kaufempfehlung. Möchte ich nicht mehr missen. Produziert äußert guten Kaffee. 600 ml Version reicht übrigens perfekt für Zwei Tassen am Morgen. Mehr wurde auch persönlich nicht benötigt.

Great product, works as it should. Bigger size would be nice! Very nice for a Sunday morning in bed, but make sure you secure the clamp very tight, I think mine wasn't, and I got burned from the crotch to my bussy
