Awesome phone set! Having an older Vtech that lasted 15 years, replacing it with a better, improved new look fully featured Vtech was the best decision I ever made. Its features are cool and everything that this phone comes with, it actually works. I'm totally ecstatic with its new features that I love so much that my older phone did not have. The "quiet" mode that keeps the phones silent especially at night without having the disturbance of the ringing but still see the lighting up when you get a call. I also love the fact that this phone is expandable to add one more phone. Now, I have 5! He he. Love that it comes with 10 different ring tones as well, 1 for ever day according to the mood you're in. LoL In all awesome phone and it works very well, so far so good. When you talk the sound is clear and no problem hearing the person. You can even lower the volume just in case you get those loud annoying callers/family that can be way too loud when they speak! Awesome!!!! Another thing I love about this phone that my older one did not have is the "number pad" lights up when you use it and when you get a call. Great if you use it late at night in the dark without having to open the lights in your home! LoL It has the "int" feature that can come in handy, no more shouting in the house like "dinner is ready". Just call the selected phone in the selected room where the person is and talk by phone! Boom, it works! Please believe me when I say this: best Vtech new improved with awesome features you will love! I love it and I' m totally happy with my purchase! Kuddos to the inventor!PS Planning to buy another set with an extra expandable, just in case it doesn't last 15 years. Wink wink!!!

Bought as a replacement for my 20 yr old cordless/answering machine which stopped working. The vtech phone package works well on my line which is probably the most distant connection from the telco's CO. Incoming voice quality is strong and clear, the answering machine functions work well and have enough recording capacity for me. The only thing that could have rated this unit at 5 stars would have been to have battery backup for the base station cradle. As it is, if there's a power failure, and that happens often around here, the phone will go dead and I'd have to use the old black 511 set. A battery backup in the vetch would be very helpful.Good value for money, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive yet reliable phone set.

It is sad to have to write a review about such a basic necessity as a cordless phone (set), but i have ordered 3 such sets in the past month or so (2 from amazon). This was the 3rd set which was the best of the bunch, but still not perfect. I don't understand why it is too much to expect a working, functional and practical product these days. I had had 2 vtech sets in the past, but as both had never lasted more than 2 years, i then went for AT&T, which lasted 5. When they died i decided to go for panasonic, as my father has had 2 sets in the past 15 years, and as I had helped him set them up I knew how they worked. Well that was the first of the 3 sets I bought (this one was also from amazon). You can see my review of them; they were terrible and panasonic customer support was even worse. So I decided to go back to AT&T, which I purchased elsewhere, but they were even more defective than the panasonic. So I eventually went go back to vtech, and so far they are ok, but the backlight is an issue I will just have to live with. I am tired of trying to find a flawless set of cordless phones; it seems to be an impossibility these days. I am not ready to give up my landline yet, so will see what happens when this set dies.

Nous avons deux lignes et tous le monde nous appelle sur l'autre ligne car tous veulent éviter la mauvaise qualité sonore. De plus tout le monde dans la maison préfère prendre leur cellulaire que d'utiliser ces téléphones pour appeler. Donc on ne fait jamais d'appels sortant et quand on reçoit un appel on est déçu qu'on nous appelle sur notre ligne principale. D'ailleurs quand j'appelle à la maison avec mon cellulaire mes enfants disent de les rappeler sur l'autre ligne.

Es bueno, como dice el título, cumplen su función, se escuchan bastante bien, no hay interferencias, se alumbran al contestar lo que es bueno en las noches, lo único que no me gusta es que las letras están muy tenues y para las personas mayores es difícil de leer, otra cosa es que los cargadores se me hacen muy livianos, como si en una caída se fueran a romper, fuera de eso funcionan perfectamente y no son dificiles de instalar.
