Q: Can you cut out the internal divider so can hold a notebook/books?

You probably can, but you shouldn’t because you can separated your stuff, and I have a 5 subject notebook, a math book, and an agenda in one section! I also have a lunch box and a water bottle in there too. You can still hold a lot of books, without cutting out the divider.

Q: How do you adjust the straps,, shorten them etc to fit your body?

Pull on them to tighten the top or pull on the sides of the bag to open the top.
