The samples the dentist gives are great. the sane product from amazon breaks constantly. it takes 6 or more picks for each cleaning. help!

Some break, some don't. Mine come from the dentist (free samples) and others come from various stores. These are thin, fragile little things. A tiny bit too much pressure = SNAP. Sometimes one may last the Whole Mouth, other times two or three. If you have some teeth that are really tight, then odds are it's a strong chance it will SNAP if pressed too hard/quickly. ...some even have the "colored stuff" break off and have to spit them out. Not 100% Quality Control for items this low tech / low cost. They do make sturdier ones (I forget the part number) with a ..larger handle... but those cost extra $$$$ (higher quality = more $$$s)

How many picks fit in the travel pack?

One strip contains 10 picks. I typically fold 2 strips in half for travel pack=20 picks. For long trips, I pack 2-3 travel packs. The company includes a travel pack in each bubble pack; I always have more than enough of the packs.
