Warm
Bought these as a Christmas gift. Husband loves them, wore them all winter long and the added pair of socks were a great bonus one of his favorite pairs! Super soft, very warm. Only complaint is they get peely after washing but they are an under layer so it doesn’t matter.

Excellent comfort while keeping you warm, designed for men.
Wore these while ocean fishing in Alaska. Fantastic product. Keep me warm through three days of rainy and cold weather without hindering my movement. Most importantly it has a fly which for some reason many competitors products do not. I am 6’2” tall and weigh 208 lbs and extra large fit well.

Best long johns I've ever owned !
The Merino Wool Base Layer Mens Bottom Pants are very warm, soft and comfy. I bought the Heavyweight, 320g bottoms, and I was worried about them being too thick, they're not that thick at all, they are perfect, very, very comfortable and warm. I was golfing with them in 40 degree weather with 12 mph wind and my legs were not cold at all, plus they were not too warm either, actually just right. I didn't where anything but a t-shirt, polo shirt, and light wind proof Foot Joy golf jacket on top, but my chest and arms were not as comfy warm, as my legs were, even though I was wearing thin golf pants over the Merino bottoms. I live in a cold, northern, climate and have bought many, many, different types of "long Johns" and these are by far the best I've ever bought. When it comes to bottom layer long johns, I think they should be snug, but not too tight, I have a 33 inch waist and a 32 inch inseam and their medium size fit me perfect!

Happy customer.
I've been wearing this merino wool Base Layer and it's been awesome—especially when that unexpected snowstorm hit. The 100% superfine 17.5-micron merino wool is super soft, never itchy, and doesn’t feel heavy or bulky, even after a full day out. The warmth is impressive, and I love how the wool's moisture-wicking keeps me dry and comfy no matter the conditions. The fit is just right, with no bunching or overheating, which is a big upgrade from regular cotton. The packaging was actually pretty cool, and the included merino hiking socks are a nice extra. My feet was dry by the end of the day. My only hesitation is about the care instructions—it says to hand wash and lay flat, but I’m tempted to try the washer to see how it does. I liked my Smartwool before because you could just toss it in the washer, but that was only 81% wool. Overall, I'm really happy with this one! I bought 2 more.

Base layer for Iceland!
These were for hubby, and he liked them! He liked that they weren't really thick, yet still kept him warm. He wore a matching set as a base layer, then hiking or rain pants on top.

Value for the money
These were the best quality I have found. The fit was perfect and they were so soft. A nice touch was the free socks that were included! Great for the winter months in Ohio.

Guarded score of 5 stars if these will last 10 years othewise 4 stars.
Nogood telling the reader how good this is without referencing to others for comparison so here goes :- In the 1970's to 1980's I used long johns bought from high street stores and also Damart (thermal underwear). These may have been satisfactory for warmth but terrible for dealing with sweat. Since 1979 I have been using Helly Hensen (HH) Lifa (not Lifa Merino (not available then) interspersed with Damart. Lifa is great in handling sweating but didn't provide the warmth of Damart. Around 2010 spent two winters using HH Merino (not Lifa Merino). These gave a good compromise in handlign warmth and sweat. But HH Merino disappeared off the market; guess replaced by HH Lifa Merino. These are great and have been using them for the past 10 years. However, the HH pricing has gone strastospheric. Found anohter brand on Amazon offering merino (only, not like Lifa Merino with synthetic). However, these were very thin and thus disappointed. So came towards end of winter 2024/25 decided to continue searching - realised Merino.tech market 3 different thicknesses of merino base layers. Am happy to report that these 320 gsm (grammes per square metre) ones are the thickest pair of long johns I have tried for couple of decades. They are warm. However, don't reckon they deal with sweat as well as HH Lifa Merino - but then you have to consider the price, which is not ÂŁ80 for the HH Lifa Merino. In summary, if these Merino.tech long johns lasts as long as those from HH, then these deserve 5 stars but it is too soon to tell. (I have had the HH Lifa Merino for 10 years and I also have HH Lifa (not Lifa Merino) for 20 years ..... so it maybe that spending more will mean longer lasting product. Time will tell but early sign is not comforting because the Merino.tech leaflet says hand wash only for their "Lifetime Warranty". Get Real! I won't have time to hand wash ! No, I will wash as per the way I do with the HH brand, 30 degrees on the wool cycle in a washing machine using non-bio detergent.) I am not born yesterday and I am not going to fall for that "Lifetime" nonsense because "Lifetime" means what ever the manufacturer wants it to mean and it's never as long as the customer expects.

Ottimi pantaloni termici oeko-tex
