Cold Steel Bamboo .625 Blowgun Darts - 50Pk

Well we're to start, 1 cold steel as put their name to these, 2 in the ad it says that the shaft are longer, they are not, 3 they are very much lighter than the old ones, 4 you now have to aim much higher, 5 I can shoot still over 40 yards with them, in my opinion they are still a very good dart

upgraded from chinese 0.4 cal to .625 cold steel .625, really disappointed, if these darts can penetrate plywood ill be amazed. its not just the darts its the flights, too loose, poor fit for the gun. I've been using blowguns on pigeons and squirrels for a while now, was hoping to add feral cats and foxes, not happening with this set up. Back to the drawing board

These work great, and can even be used to play darts on a regular dart board. Instead of standing 8' back, just increase the distance to 16-24'. Lots of fun and more challenging the further you go back. Hitting the board is possible out to 45'+ with practice. They wear out fairly quickly, either by losing the tail cone or bending/fraying the tips, especially if you hit something solid. Good news is they are fairly inexpensive and you get quite a few in a package.

Love these darts. It's about all I shoot anymore. Even the crooked ones shoot straight....cant go wrong..I use a pinty green dot laser sight..very accurate..PS..the handy dart case came from Lowes... UPDATE... I cut them down to 6 inches and they shoot faster, flatter and are just as accurate if not more accurate ..the very first grouping that I shot (with a laser) I took a picture of to show..I think the key to shooting more accurate is "follow through" just like with a recurve bow JMUA...cutting them shorter eliminates the crooked ones....

Its the same dart you remember from 14 years ago. Works well.

These darts are excellent for target practice. They have a nice flat trajectory and they fly very fast. They have pretty good penetrating power, but if you use a blowgun for hunting I would be wary about using them. You will need to resharpen them with a knife every so often. Also, depending on what type of target you are shooting (I use an archery bag) - they do have a tendency to bend after impact (after which you can't really use them again). However, skewers are cheap and you can save the cone and buy a bag of new skewers at your local grocery store.

Good Darts, a few were a bit crooked. I was able to kill a few Invasive Eastern Grey Squirrels with them. I would purchase again.
