Is the container safe for dmso? some materials are incompatible (ie container material leaches into you if you put it on your skin)

6 years later and there is no deterioration or change whatsoever to the container. Just happened to look here because I was thinking of buying some more. That's how long it has lasted me!

What purpose does the Aloe Vera serve in this product?

A typical (but harmless) side effect of DMSO, which I have experienced a number of times, is a rather intense itching for a while. The Aloe Vera largely prevents this, and that is the formulation that I have always used in recent years, with almost no problem with the itching.

is dmso gel better than dmso cream?

It's about the same. With the gel or cream you don't waste any and can target the areas better. This DMSO does NOT leave a garlicky smell in my mouth either. Was very surprised when I first used it.
