Supergoop! SPF 50 Defense Refresh Setting Mist, 3.4 Fl Oz

I am so happy I took a chance on this product!! I have a few of Supergoop's products and they are good but after trying their powder mineral sunscreen I was unsure if I would use their products anymore. I read the reviews and was even more unsure if I should try this setting spray. There are not many setting sprays with sunscreen protection and I needed something I could reapply later in the day over my makeup. Well the product is fantastic!! One of the best beauty products I have purchased!! It does not make me oily, it does not feel heavy or sticky. It dries quickly and with no white residue over my makeup. The smell is nice, not overpowering I just bathed in sunscreen smell! I have sun damage on my face and it gets darker in just minutes of sun exposure so sunscreen is so important to me. I take it seriously! My doctor told me mineral sunscreen in powder form is best but if you are reapplying powder all day long, your face looks dry and caked on. I needed another option! This is exactly what I needed and wanted. Before I go anywhere in this Arizona sun I spritz over my makeup to set my makeup and powder sunscreen. I definitely recommend this product. Makes reapplying sun protection so easy!

I absolutely love this stuff. I love the refreshing smell of it and that it's made out of natural ingredients. I first purchased it a couple years ago for a Disneyland trip. I'm a pale white girl who is unable to tan, I only burn. 😒 It was perfect to have this little spray bottle in my purse and I was able to reapply multiple times durning my Disney day in the sun. It also worked as it was supposed to I'm now on my 3rd bottle and I always keep it readily available in my purse just in case I have an unplanned outdoor trip or if I forgot to put spf on my face. I will admit, you can feel the product on your face. I'm one of those girls who doesn't usually wear foundation because I feel like my skin can't breath. However, I'm okay with feeling this product on my skin as it reassures me that the product is there to protect me.

This stuff is great and worth every penny. It sets makeup perfectly and has a great mattifying effect. For that reason I actually use it a lot just over my moisturizer. I find that when I do that it mattfies my face and I get to take advantage of its sun protection qualities.I purchase the large bottle too, but I’ve found that for some reason it tends to clog more. I don’t have that problem with the travel sized bottle. Now I buy the larger bottle and just fill up the smaller one. The small bottle also travels well so I keep one in my bag or at work so I can reapply throughout the day, and one at home.It’s a good product. Highly recommend

I apply this about 1/2 hour before going out into the sun for an extended period of time over my makeup. Obviously with a face full of makeup, smearing sunscreen will ruin everything. This product allows me to keep my makeup intact while protecting my skin. Because it is a sunscreen mist, be prepared to have a very fine, sheer white mist over your skin. Having used this product for over a year, my skin has not broken out. I like the rosemary scent very much - very refreshing. Be careful when applying that it doesn't get on your hair because it will make it greasy, just like regular sunscreen. One thing I do not like is that the product clumps inside the bottle around the opening. Make sure to shake well before use.

I'm not going to reorder this product, it either doesn't mix well with my skin or my primary skin products. On some days it irritates my face after application. The texture also gets funky after wearing for the day. If I apply it before leaving for work, by 5pm the sunblock balls up and it's like I'm shedding sunblock sand from my face. It's just weird.To use this spray "properly" you're advised to also include a sunblock of at least spf 15 in your regimen, I ignored and didn't use a primary sunblock - found that the spray def prevented sunburn for me. It took a few tries for me to understand how far to hold the bottle from my face to get good coverage. The spray's scent is really pleasant and the container is nice and compact. My skin is oily-enough-to-be-interested-in-mattefying-products skin, after spraying on I saw the "matte finish" but didn't notice any long term oil control with it though. Ultimately the spray does everything it claims but I'm just meh about it.

Unless you are spraying directly in hair and super close to face which it says SHAKE! And to Mist in circular motion across face 8-10” away from face!!! It worked greatThe sprayer was claimed to be defective: false. Unless they got a defective item, my sprayer was a mist. And works great!The scent: it smells wonderfully like a suncreen should. and the size is a generous size for a travel or your purse!I use other supergoop products and this one will be another repurchase!
