Staff ATA Hard Shell Plastic Golf Travel Case for Cart Bags

Finally upgraded my golf travel case, and this beast is the best. Protects my bag and clubs with zero stress, and even with all my gear it stays under 50 lb, perfect for flying. The lock-and-key feature also keeps me totally stress-free while traveling with thousands of dollars worth of equipment. I got the XL for my staff bag—if you have a smaller bag, go with a smaller size so your clubs don’t rattle around. Tough, roomy, and worry-free.

This is BIG! Super nicely built. Two full golf sets can easily fit in here. Will also use as a rifle case when traveling. This is a great case, built super well, very nice, and your clubs, or whatever your gear is, will be super well kept. It will double as my rifle traveling case

This is a wonderful case with a really good fit and finish. I had to return mine as it just barely didn't fit in my trunk (I was able to get it in once but it was like completing a 5000 piece puzzle). I drive a 2015 Kia Cadenza which has a quite large trunk, I was just unable to get it in the trunk opening confidently. This was also a concern because if you rent a car you may have the same issues and you can't exactly take the clubs out and fold up the case. I would be concerned taking this case on trip with a rental car involved if there is more than two people going because the case may have to go in the back seat. Second issue. The hands and wheels are weak points that are cheaply made and designed to be replaced. Unfortunately the wheels are riveted on so you may have to do some drilling and construction to replace them if they break on you as noted in other reviews. The handles are held on by nylon bolts that can be easily replaced. The one thing I noticed that you may want to check when you get the case is the foam wasn't perfectly pressed down in my case. There was plenty of glue, I just pressed it down and it stuck nicely. I'm just stating this so you don't accidentally goof up the foam when using the first time. I actually really like the latches on this case. They appear to be made of a strong nylon that should probably last for life. The latches work extremely well and give me confidence that they won't pop open. I am going to order the standard case (non deluxe) and I believe that will fit in my car easier. The large hump in the bottom of the case is cumbersome and I don't need the extra space. I value my clubs and it appears SKB has good warranty service. Overall, I highly recommend this case if you value your clubs. It should last a long time and I think it will make flying or even traveling in a car with multiple bags a more worry-free experience. I would have given this case a 4 star rating but the warranty service appears good and the fit and finish is the best in this case category, so 5 stars it is.

This is about as sturdy and protective of your precious clubs as they come. Just be sure you’re incredibly fit as this thing can get heavy and cumbersome. With my clubs in a Sun Mountain carry bag, it’s about 40 pounds altogether, but it feels a lot heavier. Also, it will NOT fit in the trunks of many smaller sedans. Even if you have fold down seats, it might be impossible if you have a small sedan and a back seat passenger. I have an Alfa Romeo sedan and we couldn’t take it to the airport unless we left our daughter at home. It did somehow fit in my wife’s Mazda 3 sedan with the seats folded down, but we had to slide it in at an angle, then slide sideways to fit it in. If you don’t have an SUV and you have to drive yourself to the airport or you’re traveling with others, this might not be the ideal carrier.

Of all things a golf bag shipping carrier should do is allow a golf bag to fit into it. My new Titleist golf "stand" bag measures a good 14 inches front to back, and those parts are rock solid and structural. They don't bend. I tried this manufacturer's other bag and it was straight-sided and too small, so I returned that one and ordered this one because it was stated that the interior measured 14 inches. That is true, but that measurement is at the bottom. Yes, my bag and clubs fit in, but only upside down, not a good way to ship clubs, heads down. I will return this carrier also. I then visited a local golf store and found a carrier called a "Bag Boy T 10 wheeled travel cover". It is soft sided, while I would have preferred a hard-sided carrier like the SKB's, but it is wide at the top and the top is hard-sided where needed to protect the club heads. Again, the SKB cases were beautifully made, strong and sturdy, excellent locks, fortresses against damage I am sure, and I would have kept one had my bag fitted inside. In the images attached here, the Bag Boy is on the left. Since it is also longer than the SKB, the clubs sit lower and into the wider part of the hard side. Great case. I only use this when my clubs go on an airplane. This is a hardshell case. A lot of cases out there advertise “hard shell” but often the top is some flimsy material that will perhaps allow damage to the heads of your clubs. The attachment on the top either zips or snaps onto the hardshell ( mid to lower) portion of a bag. Not this one!! I bought the bag I am reviewing because it is HARD plastic from top to bottom. Make sure you check the interior dimensions and measure against the bag that you enjoy taking with you. My cart bag is too large for this case. With effort, I can get my cart bag in, but latching and locking is very very difficult. Therefore, I have to use a much smaller bag if I take a lot of extras like my shoes and extra balls. I’ve heard people complain about the balance when rolling this bag in the airport. I have never had a problem whatsoever as the bag rolls and glides somewhat easily. There are other models out there with very well designed, very well engineered leg extensions. These do provide easier roll ability, but they do not come in a 100% hard shell package. Great Bag to protect your clubs.

Used this case to fly with a set of golf clubs. Worked great! Well built, tougher than golf club cases that are only hard material around the club heads. Case is a little heavy but worth it since clubs were safe inside. Had room for bag, shoes and three boxes of golf balls. Did not get charged for oversized or overweight bag. Definitely recommend.

Hard case that is definitely worth the extra money. I was debating between a soft and hard travel shell for the sticks and settled on this one after doing quite a bit of research. I travel quite extensively and have had my fair share of damaged and torn luggage which is why soft shells seemed to leave the clubs too vulnerable. And when it comes to my clubs, I'll do what's necessary to protect my investment. I was extremely impressed with the construction and solidness of the case. It is definitely a heavy duty, well-made case (unlike many light and flimsy cases out there) with well constructed locks, handles and wheels in addition to some padding on the inside. Also on the plus side, the case also looks fantastic and has received a number of compliments and inquiries as to where and for how much it was purchased. I've had the case a month or so now and it has made two international trips (Bahamas and the Middle East) and has held up extremely well (actually not even a scratch on it - knocking on wood). More importantly though, my clubs have arrived safe and intact, with no damage. Great case by SKB, Amazon shipped and it arrived within a day or so (Prime). Would recommend to those who travel for business and want to take clubs (rather than ship them) as well those taking golf trips.

I've used this case to travel to Kuwait, Las Vegas Arizona and many other places from Canada. Other than the obvious scratches from the baggage handlers there's no damage to the case to the contents. My clubs arrived perfect every time. I do remove the driver head when I transport but that personal preference. Fits a full-size cart bag with full set of clubs' rangefinder shoes and all the extras IE: balls tees gloves. Such a solid case and great bang for your buck.

Diese Box zum Reisen mit Golfgepäck ist riesig. 2 Standbags oder ein Tourbag + weitere Ausrüstung (Schuhe, etc.) gehen locker rein. Allerdings wird die Box sehr schwer und ich glaube dass man damit schnell über die Frei-Golfgepäckmenge bei Flugreisen kommt, da die Box selbst schon ein ziemliches Gewicht hat. Wir benutzen sie hauptsächlich für Autoreisen und da wir mit Golf-Tourprofessionals reisen, ist das Golfgepäck eh im BC- oder FC-Tarif drin. Aber eines ist diese Box: unzerstörbar! Das kriegt nicht mal Air-Ber... kaputt (und die haben mir schon so ziemlich alles an Golfmaterial zerstört, was möglich ist). Dazu die Lifetime-Garantie - super!
