Lots of plastic, not cheap for what it is
I bought it to fit my spare HDD. The fit of the disc was a bit hard, o mean I had to push it a bit hard to fit it inside this bracket. One screw seemed a bit out of alignment. The actual item fits well inside the case bay (case Corsair). I wish they were making these out of metal.

Did the job it needed to.
After removing my DVD/CD drive from my computer, I intended to use the space for another HDD. The HDD fit into this product perfectly, which in turn fit into the space the DVD/CD drive had taken up. Now I've got two HDDs in a case only designed to fit one. Basically, it does the job.

OK with some issues
For the price this is an OK kit. It includes the connectors and screws you need to support one sata drive, and will securely hold your drive.However the design has no vibration isolation, so when mounting a hard drive it produced a lot of drive noise from a previously quiet disk drive.In short I returned it.

Works but holes don't match 3.5 drive
Used this to replace a DVD bay in a Dell OPtiplex 7010 DT pc with a 2TB 3.5 inch hard drive. The caddy worked well in the end however the holes in the caddy did not line up properly with the screw holes on the drive (I checked another brand of 3.5 inch drive too but it was exactly the same). I basically got it to work by filing the hole on the caddy to make it bigger by using a pen knife which took about 15 minutes of faffing about. For this reason I've knocked a star off but would still recommend buying this since there don't appear to be alternatives apart from anything else!

Works buuuut
Basically, it works, however i cannot use the cover with a 3.5 inch drive because the clips will not fit with the drive inside
