Great little bike
It's a good starter, I got one for my grandson and he's getting his balance. I think he's getting ready for bike with training wheels. My only complaint and this is an issue with a lot of beginner bikes, they're not putting bearings in the steering head. It would give the bike a longer life.

"Perfect Starter Bike for My 2.5-Year-Old!"
I bought the Strider 12” Sport Bike for my 2.5-year-old son, and he absolutely loves it! The no-pedal design is perfect for helping him learn balance, and the lightweight frame makes it easy for him to maneuver. The padded seat and mini grips are comfortable, and the flat-free tires mean no worries about punctures. Assembly was super easy with the tool-free setup, and adjusting the seat as he grows is quick and simple. Overall, this bike has been a fantastic purchase, and my son is gaining confidence and having a blast riding it!

Well built and light.
I bought this bike for my 2 1/2yr old Grandson for Christmas. He loves it! Of course there's a learning curve in the beginning, which is expected and purpose of a "balance". It's much better option than training wheels. He now does great on the bike and prefers it over his scooter lately. I bought the Pro version of the 12" sport bike because of how light it is, due to the aluminum construction. Even though lighter, it's as sturdy as the heavier Stainless Steel version. The sliver color with white lettering is really nice and classy. I did a lot of research on 'Balance" bikes and Strider was always listed at the top of the recommendations. It did not disappoint. I was lucky enough to get a GREAT Black Friday discount price ! As soon as he gets old and tall enough, I will get him the 14" sport bike version, hopefully next Black Friday! Plus, the 14" has a peddle add-on option!

Loved the lightness of aluminum
My 2 year-old loves it! We had borrowed one and realized he loved it but also that once we were far from home sometimes the little guy decided he was done with the bike so we’d have to carry it back with us so I decided to splurge on this ligher model which is also better for my little guy to move in and out and turn. For reference my 2-year old is in the lowest possible setting so I forsee many years of use. Excellent buy!
