How long does it take for the bast coat to dry?

Does this duo give gel-like effects (obviously I know it's not gel)?

Yes! I've had my polish stay on much longer than when I've used other brands. I can't say enough good about this combo! The top coat does have a strong (paint thinner like) smell to it, but it goes away quickly. I've never had a faster drying top coat ever! I have now thrown away all my other base and top coats. Buy it...you'll love it!

Hello, the top coat has thickened and I'd like to thin it out with a few drops of nail polish remover. Will this affect the dry time properties?

For thinning out Seche products, definitely go with the Seche Restore polish thinner. It doesn’t compromise the structure of the product, whereas nail polish remover/acetone will unfortunately affect the look and performance/duration...last thing you want is to get a miracle top coat and then essentially ruin it. The Seche Restore is affordable and available here on Amazon (sometimes bundled with some of the actual products!) and so well worth it to keep these amazing -and let’s face it, relatively pricey- products working their best for as long as possible. Hope this helps!

I prefer a thicker as opposed to thinner base coat...something comparable to actual nail polish. Is this watery thin or more syrupy thick? Thanks!

I've not used Seche Clear as a base coat, but as a top coat and I can tell you it's been over a week and no chips or peeling anywhere. Total color still on my nails. Also, Seche VITE is the fast drying top coat that is thick and dries thick like a gell polish. I've had 4 layers of wet nail polish and it still dries it all very fast.
