The little bell that could RING!
A little louder than I thought it would be for a small bell. Putting it together is faily easy. Attatch the ringer to the hook THEN slide the bell over the threaded side of the hook. I don't know why people are trying to install the ringer when the bell is put together. Very well made, nice classic look. Rope legnth is fine. I might swap mine out for some dark brown leather to it'll look more rustic.

LOVE,, LOVE, LOVE THIS BELL
I have been trying for one year to find an appropriate doorbell for my home. I did not want to have to get an electrician to wire in one, or buy one of the wireless one. I have had a couple and was never very satisfied with their performance. Since I live in the country, and I have a small cottage, I wanted something that would blend in. I love my bell. It came quickly, it was easy to assemble, and mount on the house. It is perfect. I did have screws the perfect color and size, so mounting it was no problem. I would suggest the supplier include mounting screws, to make it easier on people that don't do a lot of DIY projects, and would need to go out just to purchase a couple of screws. I enjoy my bell so much, I even ring it just for fun when passing it.
