Will this work on car windshield?

Hello, yes. You can put the decal after spray inside of the windshield.

Can this be used on wood?

Yes but you will need to reverse the image. Put some type of a clear coat finish over the top. Do it test to see if your finish will react with the ink

Can this water slide be used wth a pre-printed image or do you have to print directly on this?

You have to print directly on the waterslide sheets. I have not heard of waterslide being done any other way. How will the ink hold up? When submerging it in water to remove the paper backing if the image isn't printed directly into the sheet that goes on whatever you're making. So the answer is yes you need to print the image on the sheet. Hopefully this helps you out.

Wanted to confirm that you need to wash items by hand only, not dishwasher safe?

You definitely cannot put them in the dishwasher. Using Mod Podge isn't as easy as some think. You have to specifically buy the one for dishwashers. It takes 28 to 30 days to cure.... in time, as with all Mod Podge products, your decals will begin to yellow. I used this on the waterslide decals I made for ceramic coasters. I had better luck buying a sheet of coffee stickers at Dollar Tree. I still have them and they look as good as the day I bought them.
