My carpet guy told me to get some pure latex fabric glue to fix the frayed serging on my carpet - is this it?

I've actually used this to fix a fraying carpet, and it worked! However, I don't know if this glue was the kind your carpet guy actually intended...

can this glue be used to attach ribbon to fabric without the ribbon puckering?

I did not use any ribbon but i found on the sheers that after glue dried i could lightly iron and smooth my seams. I didn't have any puckering.

will this work glueing fabric to wood?

This will worl very good on fabric to wood,i have used it on wood with fabric and paper together and this is the glue that works super for just that-and fabric to fabric of course but fabric to wood-Yes this is good

Would this work well for very thin fabrics (e.g. handkerchiefs) without staining the other side? Seems faster than iron hem tape but perhaps messier.

I have been using this product for many many years and it will seep through to the other side of thin fabric.
