If I had a picture frame that weighed 10 pounds let's say. If I put up up a three hooks evenly, would it support it?

I hung art that weighs about 10 pounds and used two - still hanging 3 years later. Three should make it extra secure.

How do you hid the actual strip so it’s now showing above the picture frame?

The wire on the back of the frame has to be low enough ( 3 or more inches from the top of the frame) so that none of the command hanger is showing. Be aware that the wires on my frames did not fit in the very narrow slot on these hangers, so I could not use these and wouldn’t recommend these
