2" tall ok, what about the diameter?

They are 7 & 1/2 inches in Diameter. The dogs really love them and the games I play with them are a lot of fun for me and for them. I drop dog food in the center and tell them to search.. dog food kibble. They flip them and nose them and really have a blast with them.

Do these cones skid on hard courts?

I use mine to play games in my house in the winter with my dogs and I haven't tried them on a hard court. I would say it would be a possibility. maybe. They are inexpensive and can be used to play mind and treat games in the house and if you had them in a house first and tried them on a kitchen floor that had flooring on it.. might find out for sure.
