Mythomorphia - the best yet!
I love all of Kerby Rosanes colouring books but Mythomorphia is the best yet. The huge variety of illustrations, from myths and legends across the world are absolutely amazing. Some will be very familiar - Medusa, dragons, unicorns, whilst others are more obscure - the nine-tailed kitsune from Japan and the Quilin from China. There are also a LOT of double-page spreads in this book, so if you're looking for a challenge then they would certainly work. Every image is double-sided but the paper is relatively thick and I used it with watercolours and Caran D'Ache Neocolor II without any problems. This is THE colouring book for colourists who love mythology!

Saved the best for last
As Kerby Rosanes has said that this is his last "morphia" book he certainly saved the best for last. The drawings are wonderful as always and the paper is extremely good. Far superior to many adult colouring books. It readily accepts pencils and even water based products if you're careful with the amount of water. Watercolour paints, watercolour pencils, Inktense pencils and Neo 2's were all fine for me using a waterbrush.Alcohol markers will bleed through and as there is an image on each page they will ruin the picture behind. I rarely use them for that reason they bleed through most things.. it's their job... it's what they do.I highly recommend this and the other 2 books in this series Amimorphia and Imagimorphia.

A tiny bit overhyped?
It's okay. The quality is alright although I wish the stupid tacky search things weren't there - I don't want a floating playing card on the image I have spent a whole day colouring, it just looks vulgar. Unless you are 6 years old a search is pointless. The artwork is detailed, very intricate on some images but less so on others, overall nowhere near as extreme/advanced as I expected which is good as I don't feel daunted by it. The book was a really good price for what you get, I love fantasy and dark/goth culture so I should really be in raptures over this and yet...? I'm not. There are other books that I much prefer and I feel, dare I say it, that this artist is a tiny bit overhyped. I have, however, ordered two more of his books as there are specific images I'd like to try so who knows, I may develop more of an appreciation over time but right now there is nothing in this book that is making me want to start colouring.

Be Transported To A New World
If you loved the first two, you will be ecstatic with this! Now we enter the Rosanes world of fairies and dragons, mermaids and goblins and so much more besides. This mans imaginative and artistic talents seem to have no bounds. He reminds me a little of Colin Thompson in the way he is able to incorporate a picture within a picture. Some of the illustrations have incredibly intricate detail while some are more plain with larger colouring areas, meaning that all my colouring techniques are required to complete this book. Once again I have been transported to a new world and yet again I am just loving the whole experience. The drawing is superb and each picture will be a delight to colour. No drawing required (HOORAY).The paper seems to be better quality than the previous books, and it is easier to open this book flat.In essence, his best book yet and I just love his style of drawing.
