kept you guessing from start to finish

The Angel Tree is emotionally and psychologically a powerful read. In my opinion it even outstands her Seven Sisters series (so far I have only read the first two bands) and The Midnight Rose. Whereas in the Seven Sisters series the most of the characters were superficial and therefore unlikeable, those in The Angel Tree were depicted with depth. By the same token, I was discontended with the way how The Midnight Rose ended, whereas I was fascinated by The Angel Tree from beginning to end. So far I have rated Riley's novels with four stars but The Angel Tree is her first novel I will be rating with five. Five stars for The Angel Tree.
