These are great, just make sure you don't do the silly thing I nearly did, and only buy one, you need two, something confused me into nearly making that mistake (can't remember what it was) Okay lets get down to business - the quick adjustment is a game changer, and has made a huge difference to my fitness level - lets be honest, most of us cannot be bothered fiddling around with dumbbells on/off and just end up sticking to some sub-optimal weighting cause its easier. - they are good heavy duty quality, I have had these one year and banged them around a fair bit, they still look new and have not blinked in terms of useability. - the build quality is great, they feel very good in the hand, the grip is comfortable and just right, you get the impression these have been through a good few quality assurance iterations to arrive here - Safety, these are very safe, however there are few things you can do to really project yourself and not act the mick, like don't hold the weights upside down (thats just silly), and alway when lifting from holster, make sure you're not half pulling an extra weight you should not be (its rare, and usually happens due to using strange angle on your trajectory to release) Bonus tip, if you cannot be bothered buying a stand (like me), than that covid office chair is going to do job fine. Seriously, these are great weights, and would expect them to be a game changer for you, as they were for me. Finally getting really good results - what more can you ask for?

If you are looking for a dumbbell set of between 2KG and 20KG I can thoroughly recommend this Ativa fit adjustable dumbbell. I was drawn to this as it seemed much more reasonably priced compared to the competition as well as looking very smart. The way it works is the stand is designed to hold the extra weight that you aren't using. Simply slide the dial along to the weight that you want and lift the dumbbell out. I've added a video and some photos as it may be hard for people to grasp how it works. What is great about this is that it doesn't take up too much room compared to perhaps the traditional triangular set up with different weights. As it is so innovative you have 7 different weights all on one compact size. This means it is beneficial for people with different weight preferences or to progressively move up the weight range. It is nicely balanced when in use too and doesn't jiggle about or anything like that. I'm really impressed with it as it provides a great weight set that doesn't take up too much room in my small flat.

After doing a few sessions with them I've absolutely fallen in love! As you can see they are rather bulky which does take some getting used to. I find the system used to switch weights to be good and safe. It provides a quick change between weights. Please note, if you live in an upstairs apartment with neighbours below you it can be a bit noisy when changing weights but after that it's quiet. The base it comes with **can do damage to your floor!!** I have scratches on my floor from dragging it across my living room when I got them out of the box. Luckily I am due to get new flooring. I also put some of those soft pads that are for furniture under the base and will no longer be dragging it. I have quite small hands and found these easier to hold compared to my standard hex dumbbells (the ones with the metal handles). These handles are slightly narrower in circumference and have some grip to them. I also find it easier when having to hold with two hands in exercises that require one dumbbell. It takes some getting used to when doing glute types exercises such as hip thrusts, it can feel a little uneasy at first but I had a towel underneath and was soon able to get them stable enough that I did not need to hold onto them when doing the exercise. One of my worries was having to use these in overhead exercises such as skull crushers ect. However it felt completely safe and secure. Overall I highly recommend the investment if you're super into hypertrophy or strength training and are looking to save space. P.S. The reason why I don't give these a full 5 stars is because they were so much cheaper on Ebay!! The only reason why I ordered on Amazon is in case I would need to return them for any reason! These are extremely well made, a really high quality. The selector dile has a very positive click between weights and it is safe as you depress the red button to use it then the dial locks in place ready to lift. The weights are held secure during exercises and do not rattle about. Selecting a different weight takes about 5 seconds. Highly recommended

Edit: Wow, after one year, one out of two of the dumbbells I ordered developed a mechanical issue. I contacted the seller and they immediately issued a new dumbbell to me. Incredible service. Upgrade to 5 stars just for that! Great value for money as you get 25kg on an adjustable dumbbell. The downside is because they are adjustable and have to carry 25kg of weight, the dumbbells are very wide. This means it makes it more difficult to do certain exercises together, for example dumbbell curls. Because they are so wide they clash if you use them both at the same time, so you have to be careful It's a small gripe, otherwise they are very good quality dumbbells and very easy to swap between weights.

I have a set of 10 dumbbells and they take up a lot of space. These dumbbells make my life so much easier. I do a lot of high intensity weight lifting. At first I was worried about weight plates falling off when I’m swinging the dumbbells. There’s a red button safety thing. Make sure you press it and everything clicks in place. If a weight plate is not fully in place it could fall out. But as long as it is in place, I don’t see how swinging the dumbbells would lead to a plate falling out. The handle is somewhat long and the dumbbell itself is a bit longer than what I’m used to. But it provides good grip. I don’t wear gym gloves anymore. Switching between weights takes 5-10 seconds. Not instant like normal dumbbells but even when doing HIIT workouts where I only have ten seconds between exercises, I can just about make it, switch the weights, and get on with the next exercise in time.

Las pedí con cierta duda acerca de si cumplirían bien la función de unas mancuernas de peso variado. La respuesta es: SÍ. Son precisas a la hora de seleccionar el peso: desde 2,5 hasta 25 Kg. En mi caso, pedí dos mancuernas y obtuve descuento por ello, en total, pagué 349€. Vienen muy bien embaladas. Las cajas son resistentes. Lo que hice al desembalar, es usar después las cajas (previo forrado) para usarlas como soporte, ya que de lo contrario, agacharse tanto al suelo puede resultar incómodo. También podéis usar un mueble viejo, una banqueta, etc. para hacer las veces de "mancuernera". El caso es tenerlas a una altura cómoda, de forma que cada vez que las apoyéis, no tengáis que forzar mucho la espalda. Un detalle obvio: para cambiar el peso, la mancuerna ha de estar con el botón rojo mirando "hacia arriba" y apoyada en su molde (de plástico duro y resistente). Desde la posición de apoyo, seleccionáis el peso en el rotor mientras a la vez tenéis pulsado el botón rojo; una vez seleccionado, se suelta el botón y tiráis de la mancuerna y ya tendréis el peso seleccionado listo para usar. El mecanismo es preciso. Tiene un agarre cómodo, no molesto (las uso sin guantes). Con dos o tres cambios de peso ya le habréis cogido el "truco". Recomiendo este producto si lo que queréis es tener unas mancuernas que vayan desde 2,5 a 25 kg. Son resistentes y de calidad. No recomiendo darle fuertes golpes dejándolas caer al suelo, pues imagino que el mecanismo de engranajes y el encaje de los discos se podría ver dañado. Tan solo reseñar que en la realización del ejercicio, los discos tienen una pequeña holgura, ello debido a que el acople no es estanco 100%, algo que, desde mi punto de vista, no resulta molesto, a pesar del pequeño ruido que se escucha por la pequeña holgura. Al fin y al cabo, como estarás entrenando con música de fondo, tv, etc, apenas se aprecia. Si os decidís por la compra, ¡que las disfrutéis como yo!

Ottimo manubrio! La caratteristica che lo rende un 5 stelle è la velocità. Posso passare da un esercizio (come il curl bicipiti) a un altro (come gli squat) che richiede un peso diverso, in meno di 5 secondi. Questo è essenziale quando si fanno circuiti o super-set. Pesa quanto promesso ed è molto bilanciato. Se cercate efficienza e risparmio di spazio, non esitate.

Ottimo prodotto. Semplice da usare. Ottima fattura ed anche ottima qualità dei materiali usati. Unici nei ( a mio parere personale): 1) vernice dei pesi delicata 2) sono molto larghi 3) l'aumento dei pesi va dall'esterno verso l'interno.....sarebbe stato meglio al contrario. Aggiungo anche ottimo venditore. Un manubrio mi è arrivato con la base d'appoggio distrutta. Mi hanno inviato quella sotitutiva nuova subito senza nemmeno avere foto del pezzo rotto. Complimenti
